MC is usually prominent in serious relationships that last quite a long time - 10th house is naturally ruled by Saturn.

It gives a feeling of "going somewhere" together, a sense of purpose.

The S conjunct MC is a terrific aspect to have if you plane on working together. Just like in the natal chart, the MC in a natal chart is all about high profile business activities. And the Sun in the 10th or on the MC is the champion planet for that position.

If your unit is not about business activities, then the Sun in this position will sever as an Ace in hole, for small projects you may choose to do together. One thing is certain, you have each others back when comes to advancing your dreams.

There may be an easier way to read and understand complicated Synastry pie chart aspects. Pie chart aspects can also be produced onto a basic Synastry Aspect Chart. Review the sample chart at your leisure. It may help you gain even more insight than you currently have.

The tighter, the stronger.

Planets in the 10th still have an effect.

But if you want a strong conjunction I'd say up to 5°.

MC synastry shows up in married couples, from what I know, since it's a change of "status". It means, depending on the aspects, that you both give the other a sense of purpose and direction in life. Also, you probably have composite Sun conj MC too, which also means public couple.

Would MC conjunct Asc be equally strong as Sun conjunct MC?

As an extra, the guy's (my bf) Sun is conjunct his MC, which makes it conjunct my Asc. And interestingly we have a double whammy - my Sun is conjunct his Asc, exact. This results in the Sun conjunct Asc in the composite.

Would appreciate interpretations of this.

Adding: The blue lines you see are tight (orbs @20%) Sextiles to his Sun/Jupiter conj and to his Pluto.

Eek.

Nothing in my chart touches his MC.

...oop.

If I expand the orb to 5d, his opposes my Pluto (double eek) and does...something...with my Mars/NN conj.

What's Leo do to Cap, again?

Angle conjunctions are very strong in synastry.
So it's definitely significant.

Composite Sun conjunct the ASC sounds very good to me - a true sense of partnership and unity.

Sounds right.

My poor husband's MC.
At least my Venus & Desc are cozy (loose-ish - 4-6d - conj) with his Asc.

Editing to add: And my Jupiter's tightly trine it, with my NN and Mars in a tight out of sign trine.

We won't talk about what my Moon does to it, though.
(Same degree square.)

Yeah, the Asc adds a sense of *identity* in the mix. I remember reading somewhere that Sun conj Asc can make people look alike - meaning they have the same vibe or smth, not actual physical resemblance though it's not excluded. Actually, have you noticed that after a while couples tend to look like one another?? Freaky!

Hm, never heard about that, but could be true.

I've noticed that a lot of couples actually do have physical similarities, even if they don't necessarily look like one another - it's a bit like.. a similar vibe, maybe a particular feature, or something like that.

I'm pretty sure there's a psychological reason for that - "mirroring" - you feel validated by the other person because you subconsciously recognize a part of yourself in them.

I am not finished reading it, but already agree with it. I have always wanted to be with the male version of.. well, ME! Looks like it's not just narcissism at play here!

One other fascinating result is that the faces that were judged to be most similar belonged to the couples who reported being the happiest.

Hera,

Hahaha, of course not.

It's gonna be difficult to find the male version of me - cute ginger guys are quite rare these days! Rofl, actually, I think it'd feel really odd to be with someone who has red hair like me.. kinda like being with a brother or something. But hell, what do I know, I've never experienced it.

Kerosene,

That makes sense.

You're a natural redhead???? *bows* MY QUEEN!!

I, of course, true to my Aries Sun, ADORE redheads. I'm an artificial one but still, REDHEADS RULE!!!

I know he might not resemble you physically, but I could picture you with someone like him. I think you'd compliment each other physically very well.

Hera,

Aww, thanks, sweetie pie! <3

Yeah I notice people with Aries or Scorpio influences are quite into redheads.

Oooh that man looks quite attractive, mhm.
Gemini Sun! Poof, right in my 1st house.
