There is astrology that is meant to be helpful and there is astrology that is simply written for the entertainment of astrologers. The latter is what needs to be better managed. I get lots of lots of people writing to me, practicaly afraid to face another day because of a transit. Events in ife do not happen because of a planet. They usually happen because of what you do. Things like deaths of those close to us happen in life. Uncomfrtable and even distressful analysis from doctors happen. There are things in life that are just a part of life and they are going to happen. Barring these things, you are pretty much in control of the energy that you attract in your life. If you i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed, there isn’t much of a need to worry.

There was a kid in the neighborhood that I grew up in. He dropped out of school in the 11th grade. Within a year, he was driving thee most expensive Mercedes possible at the time. He had all these beautiful girls and gave the appearance of being a well-to-do kid. He was selling marijuana in huge quanitities. I started travelling abroad and became very busy in my music career. After a period of a few years when I returned to the old neighborhood, I asked about ___________. I was told that they found his body from the waist up in one trash receptacle and the rest was in another! He had been killed gang style. I never knew his birth time but I knew his birth date. This horrible murder happened precisely when transiting Neptune went over his Sun. Did the transit cause him to be killed? He was killed because of the energy he put out in the world. If he had been a poet, musician, minister or was doing something in life that represented the productive side of Neptune, the transit might have reflected a reality that showed a really rewarding, productive time of creativity, inspiration, etc.

If you know that there are some things in life that you have been doing wrong, you don’t need to worry about a transit. It is going to catch up with you one way or the other. Otherwise, do not allow yourself to be afraid of anything in astrology. Use the energy. If it is a Saturn time, work harder. If it is a Jupiter time, plan ahead to work on something that you can benefit from during the Jupiter period.

These things get a little tricky as you get older. If you are in your seventies and have a parent whose health has been on the decline. That parent might be in their nineties. If there is an outer planet hard aspect to an Angle in your horoscpe or to the Sun or Moon (by transit or Solar Arc), be aware that the life-changing symbolism shown in your horoscope can be the reflection of an extreme chnge in circumstance with that parent. If you are a frequent reader of this blog, you know that I lost my mother just this past October. I had been telling friends years prior that I would probably lose my mother at the time of my Saturn Return. Fatalism?

Saturn Returns suggest very powerful structural changes in one’s life. My first Saturn Return saw me get married, stop travelling so much and my two sons were born. It was a complete change of my reality. For my second one, I looked at reality. My mother was in a nursing facility. She was approaching her 97th birthday and we do not live forever. I simply asked myself what was the most likely huge structural change that could occur based on my life’s reality. I concluded that it had to be my mother’s demise. Does that mean that your mother will pass away during YOUR Saturn Return? NO!!!!!!!! It suggests that there can be a major structural change in your life. It depends on the life being lived, not on the planet.

Don’t let yourself be hoodwinked and bamboozled by scare tactic astrology. Use common sense.
