Does it have any significance?

Example

Some one with Cancer Sun and the planetary ruler of the Sun(which is the Moon in this case) sits in the 5th house, does it gives his Cancerian Sun personality a Leonine traits and taste?

*Notice: I'm not talking about which house the Sun sits in, I'm talking about the house of the planetary ruler of the Sun.

Best regards,

Good question. I can't really tell from my chart because I've got an Aquarian Sun and my Uranus is in the 11th.

But I'd like to try and reason this out by trying another approach. What happens if the person is a Leo? They're ruled by the Sun which may be what makes it such a self-assured sign. The Sun's ruler could never be in a different house from the one that the Sun itself is in.

One the other hand (can you guess my rising sign), if the person is a Cancer, the house position of the Moon could be very important. I know that the SIGN that the Moon is in would be, that there are basically 12 different "flavors" of Cancer. Where the Moon resides could be the area of life where they feel most alive or nurturing or secure.

But if the person is a Libra or Taurus, Venus could never be more than 48 degrees from the Sun, so those signs would be limited to the same basic region of the chart. Even more so for Virgo or Gemini since Mercury is never more than 28 degrees from the Sun. So if they've got a Gemini Sun in the 9th house, unless they're far enough north to have very unequal house systems, their Solar Ruler would likely only appear in the 8th, 9th or 10th houses.

Hmmm. Overall it seems like this would be more important for some signs than for others. For Cancer, yah, it would probably be important. For Leo, Gemini, Virgo, Taurus or Libra, probably much less so.

It might. The ruler of my sun is in the twelfth and it gives Piscean qualities. So, Cancer sun with moon in fifth might give Leonine qualities.

Like Jkitty mentioned, Mercury and the moon pretty much take on the characteristics of wherever they are located, for better or worse, so it might not be the same for every planet.

@SSS Thanks dear for the contribution.

I think this will be an interesting subject to do some research on.

My Sun-dispositor is Jupiter in the 3rd house.

While it doesn`t give me any Gemini traits, 3rd house things are important and very noteable in my personality.

my astrologer did this but with my moon to tell me i like classy bishes. so that's what it is called dispositors. i mean i've looked at the final dispositor in a couple of lonake threads but i didn't super understand it...

my dispositor is venus in taurus and it sits in the same house as my sun the 7th.

Since I have a bunch of personal planets in the same sign, the dispositor becomes very important and clear in my case.
It`s Jupiter in Pisces in 3rd house (at least in Western astrology ) and most of my Sagittarianness, is channelled through that Jupiter.
It`s how I express all that stuff.

My Moon dispositor might actually explain why I am not really all that emotionally detached as my Aquarius-Moon would make you believe (the modern dispositor is in Scorpio, using traiditonal ones it is in Cancer -no matter how, I can`t escape the water. lol)

Noooo. "On the other hand" is a favorite phrase of LIBRA rising. We like to look at everything from both/all sides and strive for balance. I'm your alter-ego.

Hmm I guess, in this context, everything has significance, but it's just how much significance. I suppose significance is lesser than say the house where the sun sits. Perhaps those two houses that suns planetary ruler rules will be important, but look at where saturn thrones. Saturn takes it away.

I disagree about Saturn taking it away. I've got Saturn conjunct Jupiter by only 2 degrees. If anything, it's made Jupiter stronger -- made me work harder at being optimistic, jovial, positive and the like. Saturn disciplines but I suppose that it "could" take it away if that's how one chooses to use that Saturn energy. I just don't think that it's a given.

Hi JK
When 2 outer planets conjunct they don't tend to hv as much effect as when a generation planet conjunct a personal planet or houses for instance..

Is your saturn sq, oppo or trine any personal planet?
Where does your saturn sit? Which house?

Arien people with Mars in the 5th

- Giacomo Casanova ! Pisces Mars in 5th.

- Hugh Hefner ! Aqua Mars in 5th.

Arien people with Mars in 1st

- Ayrton Senna ! Aqua Mars in 1st.

- Al Gore ! Leo Mars in 1st.

Arien people with Mars in 8th

- Steve McQueen ! Pisces Mars in 8th.

- Johann Sebastian Bach ! Sagittarius Mars in 8th.

Now that's will reason why I like his music so much

Saturn sextiles Venus. He sits in my 4th house 3 degrees from my IC. He hasn't taken anything away from my Venus either, but she's exalted and he's in his rulership, so maybe that helps.

Hey, Ceri has lost something like 60 pounds. You'll have to find another nickname for her. She'll be walking down a catwalk if she keeps this up, Fleur.

Wow Im in awe of you people.. the time and effort/ energy you spent in astrology will make you an astro-guru superstar in no time flat! You can give Michael Cainer, Liz Greene etc runs for their munny.. Keep it up, chump!

On a side note, you probably read Outliers and are applying it's principle

Ok, your Venus is in Taurus, Saturn is in Capricorn? So I believe your home/inner life is tougher than most. Everyone has an area of "fallibility" in their chart.. yours is probably due to family or early childhood.

Sextiling Venus is one of the best aspects you can have Sextiles IMO are a step ahead of trines, especially for potentially tough planets

Hows THAT even possible to lose 60 pounds! It;s totally UNREAL

But that said, it's the reason why I called her lard butt. It's because she isn't one

Sextile puts my Venus in Pisces, not Taurus. I've also got Saturn conjunct Jupiter remember. No I don't think my childhood or home life is "tougher than most". In fact, I'd say the opposite. Even if an astrological theory holds true 85% of the time in 500 charts, there is still that 15%. It's like genetics; the choices you make influence the outcome. Angelina Jolie isn't going to die of breast cancer just because her genes predisposed her to it.

Thanks for the complement! Astrology for me is just a hobby I like and a nice tool to understand the human soul. I'm still learning the basics and enjoying your posts and help.

God bless
