Topic: Don't you find it hilarious people try to predict behavior through astrology?

One of the things I've witnessed time and time again within astrology forums I've lurked on is how members state how they are not surprised one user posted this or that and how one user reacted in such a manner like lashing out at users with blunt words or reacting verbally aggressive because of user's Mercury in Sagittarius or Mercury in Aries, blah blah blah blah blah blah.Its gotten to the point in some forums I even seen members getting banned simply because they displayed some traditional traits of a placement and the mods expect that user to continue on with that behavior (despite the fact that user's behavior may have been due to external factors like other trolls in that community or stresses they were facing in their own personal lives, etc. and any sae person regardless of what their Mercury is in or what aspects are in their chart would have reacted that way). Its just ******* hilarious. As fun and accurate natal charts can be, I actually prefer to JUDGE the someone on their personality and on the circumstances that caused the person to reach that way. What's next, some astrology fanatic is going to tell you to trust your bank account with some random person on the street because his or her chart indicates an honest person and is Sagittarius dominant? **** I even read of companies literally hiring their employees based on their Sun Sign (or even in the case of Chinese companies I've read about, Year pillar)!!! I prefer to anticipate someone's behavior based on my past experiences with the person and his reputation as well as what I currently see of the person and his or her qualifications, not on the natal chart. I ban based on behavior. Astrology doesn't even factor into the decision. A troll is a troll, whether a Cappy or a Saggy. IP: Logged |
