My mother had low empathy so I wanted to study this and I found myself learning about and getting to know sociopaths.

Some people are born as sociopaths.

MOON Moon here suffers many traumatic emotional experiences. Acute sensitivity. Can be melancholic and prone to depression. Over-active imagination can cause paranoia. The subject may be tempted to turn to drugs or drink to numb the intense feelings of sorrow. Will be passionate about social welfare and human rights. May feel overwhelmed at times by pain in the collective consciousness, expecially after a shocking event like a terrorist attack or an environmental disaster.

I have always been fascinated by such taboo subjects as gene splicing and committing hybrids. I liked Shelley's Frankenstein novel too, and what it meant. I studied it during a World Lit class in college. I do have a fascination with some of the Algolian topics.

Well, to be real, Algol is the worst fixed star and so one can't mitigate it for easier consumption.
I would say that one would have violent tendencies.
In a case like this, one should not eschew what the chart has to say but rather respect it, so one does not have to go down a bad path.

That is one man's opinion.

This may be generational more than personal, though. How long does Eros stay in one place. Does anyone know?

If it stays in one place for 2 years, for example, everyone born in that time would have it.

That's actually closer to the Pleiades, I believe. There's more than one fixed star right around there, Capulus is at 24 Taurus.

When I first found out about the moon and Algol, I didn't want to think about it. It was just another aspect that meant alcoholism to me, along with several others so I focused on the happy aspects like a typical Libra rising, ignoring the negative ones.

I really got interested in it last winter and started looking for it's constellation, Perseus, it's really difficult to find. I could find everything but it, Jupiter, Alderaan, Castor, Pollux. Algol and Perseus were nearly impossible for me to discern in the night sky. I thought I found it, not sure to this day if that was actually it and I am pretty good at spotting constellations. I found Canis Major and Orion, no problem, along with Ursa Major and Minor, Gemini, Cassiopeia and Andromeda. Then it got cloudy and stayed that way for about a month. Neptune getting jealous of the stars, I thought. My initial enthusiasm waned and I was drawing diagrams of constellations, too.

This is when I first became conscious of the varying hues in the stars. Before, they just seemed like stars, all the same, sparkling in the night sky. After I started researching online, I found the red and blue ones, went in my backyard, looked and saw some really are red, others blue. Castor and Pollux are a perfect example of this. Another red one is Betelgeuse in Orion.
