I am very excited from my discussion with Doux about synastry.

It may sound like a small thing but I saw a new mechanism for doing synastry. You get behind the eyes of each planet.

That planet sees out of it's OWN lens. If it is Venus, it sees out of the lens of love. If it is Pluto, it sees out of the lens of power or control

Last night, when I couldn't sleep, I was thinking about different synastries and it really brought my chart reading up a notch.

Thanks Doux and if anyone wants to discuss it, that would be great.

Yes, these discussions are important because people see the charts differently.

No man is an island.

I even introduced a few asteroids to the great IQ

I am going to make a list of how I would see behind the eyes of each planet. Any comments from anyone would be great. We can share our insights.

You know what? I am not going to do a list. Let's take each planet one by one.

The Sun

I would see out of my ego here. It would not be emotional. It would be pure ego needs, desires, wants. It would be in terms of my identity. It would be about my view of myself in a kind of cool way, more rational than emotional.

I see the Sun as the part of you you show when you go for a job interview.

You don't talk about your dog( Moon/heart subject)

You don;t talk about your love life( Venus subject)

You don't talk about your obsessions( Pluto subject)

You talk about your job skills, your competence etc

These are the ego part of you and the part that your boss would see.

What do you think?

I wouldn't limit Sun down to job skills and working abilities. It's Ego, i agree. But it could be different for every person. Its natal sign, house and aspects would show what "ingredients" would make this ego of a concrete human being a whole. For example, for me, a Libra Sun which receives a trine from Mars, conjuncts Venus and Mercury, squares Saturn and Neptune loosely. Blend it all together and you get my ego, which loves beautiful things, loves to dream, often has rose coloured glasses on, has a strong drive forward, but sometimes feels limited in certain cases and sometimes doesn't believe it could succeed. It may have a strong will, but also a deep wound which Saturn gives. It's all me, my ego. And that's how i am going to receive other people and how they aspect my Sun, my ego. That's how i see it.

Just wanted to add. But this approach you gave is very interesting.

For example.

John's Mars conjuncts my Sun. I would see him through the lens of my ego. In his presence i would feel energized, it would give me some bonus motivation move forward and try to reach my goals as a person, because my own Sun trines Mars in my chart. But i would also feel more restricted and maybe even guilty for restricting this person as well, maybe i wouldn't be able to follow his suggestions till the end, do all i could be able to do just because my Saturn squares my ego. There are obstacles and restrictions that probably exist only in my mind, but they would keep me away from truly enjoying this aspect as i would if there was no Saturn squaring my Sun.

I think the Solar energy within a person is so CORE to who they are, that it's pretty much unconscious. It has to be reflected back by other planets in order to see itself. It's the parts of you that are so natural and automatic that you never even think about them. Just like you can't look directly into the Sun, but have to look off to the side a bit, it's the same sort of thing with your own Solar energy -- you can't see it directly, you can only live it.
