What orbs do you use for natal & synastry. I think even the longer orbs would still be felt in natal/synastry if 2 planets are in the same sign , because the planets transmit their energy in similar way (for example I have Mercury in Gemini 3 degrees and Mars and Eros Gemini 26 degrees, the orbs are very wide but I still feel them working in a similar way). Maybe it wouldn't be apparent at first sight but there is still some affinity. Just like in synastry if I meet a person with Venus at 10 degrees Aries (I have Venus 27 degrees Aries) maybe our connection wouldn't be apparent the first time we meet, but if the relationship progresses into something more significant we would still feel the affinity between the planets even the wide orbs. Maybe we wouldn't get first place (like with tight orbs), but we would finish at least 3rd.

Now this person can have Mars Cancer 2 degrees. With my Mars and Eros Gemini 26 degrees would you consider this a conjunction. Can these aspects really be so relevant in synastry or natal. If My Mars in Gemini 26 degrees and her Mars is Cancer 2 degrees (or suppose I have Venus at 2 degrees Cancer in my natal chart) many astrologers would consider this a conjunction. How can 2 planets, one in Gemini and the other in Cancer ever be in a conjunction. Gemini Mars expresses his eneergy in a different way than Cancer Mars does. Conjunction is suppose to mean that the energy is expressed in similar ways (or am I wrong).

Planets in one sign all work within that sign in synastry and natal but are more concentrated when they are close to one another. Like, if you have Mercury and Jupiter within one degree of each other, they become one. If Mercury is at five degrees and Jupiter is at twenty, you just have two different planets in one sign. The sign will be emphasized, the planets will not be fused together.
