Sun/Moon midpoint Synastry Aspects
If we don’t have the luminaries in aspect then then this one more than makes up for it, but only if it is in hard aspect (conjunction, opposition or square). The Sun/Moon midpoint represents the balancing of the masculine and feminine within and the inner marriage. A hard aspect from partner A’s Sun, Moon, AC or Vertex to this point, brings the sun and the Moon together and makes Partner B feel whole. This is also said to be a karmic contract aspect, where one partner has promised something to the other in this lifetime. It could be something like giving the other children or even breaking them up from a stagnant or abusive relationship.

They talk about this karmic contract - but who is the one who has promised? The one with a midpoint or the one with a planet?

I think it can go both ways. Maybe each person has something to give to the other, one more than the other. So vertex square sun/moon mp would be a destined relationship. I wonder if venus/mars mp can work in the same way, replacing venus and mars in synastry when there are no aspects. Maybe asc to venus/mars mp would create attraction.

Hmm I don't know, but with my husband, he is Scorpio Sun/Pisces Moon and I'm a double Aries, and the only aspect between our Suns and Moons is my Moon quincunx his Sun.
Then we have opposed ACs.

But when it comes to our Sun/Moon mps, mine is at Aries around 12º~13º degrees and his is at Capricorn around 16º~17º degrees.

Our composite has Venus at 12º degrees Cancer, Mars at 16º degrees Capricorn, Jupiter at 12º degree Capricorn. It aspects our natal mps.

And in his chart, my name is right in his Sun/Moon mp. I can't accurately check his name in mine as there's no asteroid with his name, only ones with similar names.

So you might like to check the composites as well, it can show how the relationship affects each of us after all.

Thanks for posting about this topic. My sun conjuncts my boyfriend's 8H S/M midpoint. It is good to know I have the opportunity to make him feel whole.

I was thinking about this and I've read somewhere that midpoints in synastry are felt only by the MP person. When somebody's planet touches your midpoint only you can feel the energy. The other person doesn't feel anything.

What if Venus Mars midpoint in a natal chart is exactly conjunct my own Moon? O_O

Can someone tell me how to calculate the Sun/Moon Midpoint?
I know where mine is, because my sun and moon are in opposition. I wonder what it means to have your own NN conjunct your S/M Midpoint, and be squared by your own sun and moon?!

My husband's Saturn is opp my S/M midpoint.
Also, do you suppose trines count? His Venus is trine my S/M Midpoint as well as my NN...

<Edit> Never mind. Found the link that shows how to calculate it.
