It's like my 3rd post in last 10 mins or so, and I'm sorry, it's gonna be the last one ;p I looked up the info on yods online, and it seems to be not that popular so didn't find anything interesting (well, I did but I didnt quite get it ), so it's meant to be a purpose of your life or something and I got one, so it would be really cool to know what it means Anyway, does anyone in here have it, and could share some knowledge? Enlighten me guys IP: Logged |

Oh man, I wish I could be of more help, as I've been reading about them as well (I have two, so...uh...yeah, I'm kind of wondering exactly what I'm "supposed" to be doing with mine). What I've noticed in family members who have yods (for some reason there are quite a few in my family) is that we tend to grow, and to *want* to grow in the areas indicated by the yods. It kind of seems like a natural transformation sometimes, although I think we have to really work at it. Ami had some good articles on yods, and I understood them like this: The planet that is at the "tip" of the yod is the planet that needs to be taking the direct action, but has a hard time of it. So the planets that form a sextile help the "tip" or apex planet to do what it needs to do. They're kind of a lot like the way they look, in my opinion. The "base", formed by the two planets that make a sextile aspect, needs to be the foundation, or the "help" that will allow the planet at the apex to take action. Without the sextile aspect between the other two planets, the apex planet has a hard time operating. Whatever signs/houses the yod planets fall in is significant, in the same sense. I'm still trying to figure out my Venus/moon/Uranus yod, as I'm not entirely sure how a "powerhouse of emotion" is going to help me to be more loving and comfortable with my emotions, but whatever. Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm sure Ami or someone else can explain it better than I. IP: Logged |

The Yod is created by two planets that are quincunx or inconjunct the apex but sextile to each other. The quincunx is never a comfortable aspect because it's not really a 'tangible' aspect that you can say - ya, I see that in my personality. It operates on the psychological/abstract level that is like a shadow you see in the corner of your mind but when you try to look at it directly, it moves on you. But I quote a description that's not mine but has stuck with me for a long time. "The hallmark of a quincunx is that unlike an opposition, it is not resolved through directly engaging conflicting forces. Instead, it is necessary to transcend the opposition by identifying with a larger view of the situation, which combines the two diverse energies in a harmonious way. In other words, a quincunx forces us to realize that what we believe is an irresolvable conflict is in fact no conflict at all. This cannot be achieved through reason; it must be experienced, as it is a form of spiritual 'enlightenment'. " Neptune/Pluto/Mercury Yod - in the questions of life, my mind has been set free. Oh, my aspect is a Boomerang (similar to Yod) but my apex planet Mercury opposes Uranus which semi-sextiles Neptune and Pluto. If that's not bad enough on my mind, all my outer planets are Retrograde...Ya, you can say there's a push to develop and evolve in various areas. IP: Logged |

Hm. I have a small talent triangle (or whatever you want to call it) between Neptune, Mercury, and Pluto, with Neptune at the apex. Neptune and Mercury sextile are also a part of one of my Yods. It is interesting stuff, but I haven't a clue what to make of it. Then again, I haven't spent much time looking too deeply. IP: Logged |

Thanks! <Edit> Sorry I don't always get everyone's names right on here. Lianee: Thanks, ha. I hope you got some more clarification. Let me know if you figure yours out, haha. I've yet to form an opinion on mine, although I have some hunches. IP: Logged | |
