There was a thread about this a while ago, speculating that perhaps a splash chart could be the culprit, or Mercury in hard aspect to certain planets or points (I have both--splash chart with Mercury in Aquarius opposition to Leo AC).

I have found that the more deliberate speakers (BORING! Just kidding...sort of ) can become highly vexed with my conversational methods, as I expect everyone to just chime in and interrupt each other in a friendly volleying conversation, with random interjections.

How do you communicate, what planets/aspects do you think contribute to your conversational manner, and what are your pet peeves when it comes to the way other people have conversations?

I have Mercury in Aries. Oy, conversing with me can be fun - or maddening.

I don't mind getting interrupted once for every thought I have, but I start getting frustrated if I keep having to start over (unless it's on topic.)

I get bored with long-winded people unless they are animated about it (just has to hit that spot, I'm not sure how to say WHAT keeps me entertained)

When I'm allowed to relax in a conversation I say more through gestures, small words, and facial expressions than explaining myself in-depth. I rely more on intuitive and non-verbal communication.
-----------------------------------------------
Something I'm really bad about is delivering half of what I mean in a message. I communicate so fast that I don't realize how my message was received 'til later.

I'm loud when I'm talking about my opinion and have to catch myself quite often; tone it down for the softer folk like Scorpio, Pisces, Sags, or Capricorn.

Lately I've realized I'm a bad listener. It takes a conscious effort for me to empathize with someone. I'm not sure if this is Mercury related or Sun related though.

I have Mercury sextile Mars, square Saturn and Neptune, and in the 11H. It's also conjunct Sun and Venus there too.

I have Mercury in Gemini, and I hate people who talk very slowly. I'm like "Speed up!"

I am usually pretty animated when talking, talking with passion and gestures. I even jumble up words in a sentence to see if the other person is to listening me.

I don't like it if someone interrupts me when talking, I usually try to put them off if they do :P

Mercury in Gemini, Opposite Jupiter in Sagittarius.
Uranus and Neptune in 3rd.

Ha ha. I'm animated when I talk as well, with facial expressions and all that. I could have a conversation with you guys and we might not all get irritated with each other.

"I even jumble up words in a sentence to see if the other person is to listening me." Hahaha.

I can totally relate to not being a great listener, unless someone is entertaining and funny, and it's something I'm interested in. Or if I'm at work. It's my job to listen to people, and thankfully I care about what they have to say, so...that works out okay.

Interesting Mercury placements (I wonder if my Aries Venus has a part in this as well), I'll have to read up a bit on some of those aspects.

But yeah, long-winded people who will talk literally for hours and not allow you to get a word in edgewise can be kind of infuriating.
I know I can be capable of that, but it's only with the silent types who never chime in. So I get nervous, and just keep talking.

Effing chart.

<Edit> I had to edit my response like four times. That is a very good representation of how my communication flows.

I fancy my communication to be strong in synthesis and clarity. I can't stand when people are talking and they go off on tangents or stop to explain something or they fumble with words...I just, augh, push them aside and take over lmfao! Let me tell the story damn it! I know how to make everything flow and I can briefly explain something too without it feeling like the story's stopped.

Also when two people speak up at once then both stop to let the other speak, and it repeats a couple of times? Bugs me. I've developed a habit of just continuing to talk AND THEN letting the other person go OR full stopping and saying, "you go first." Either way, I like to lead the conversation so it goes smoothly and without hitches!

I have a Leo AC and Libra Mercury tightly sextile.

Oh gawd, let's never speak in person, I would drive you nuts. I don't fumble with words, but I will stop to "explain" something and then it's like I'm basically thinking out loud and the other person is like "WTH, would you get to the point!?"

Thank God for my talent triangle that involves Mercury, it allows some quick wit and humor.

I'd probably drive most people crazy. I talk really fast and rapidly change subjects. I'm also really random and people just stare at me with a "wtf?" expression most of the time.

I have Aquarius Mercury.

Pisces Sun
Capricorn Moon/Venus
Taurus Ascendant
Aquarius Mercury
Leo Mars

I also have aries mercury, thing is I always think I know what to say and I say it. But a few moments later I think that I sound stupid and try to disguise it by doing random, unexplainable things, to make them think about those things instead of what I said, lol.

Yeah, same here. I don't always talk fast, although sometimes I do. I find that my Libra/Sag rising friends *always* vibe with me for some reason, and Sag rising in general. They seem to appreciate the animated conversations and can go with the flow.

Even my overbearing Taurus ex was generally amused by my odd way of "transitioning" from one topic to another, ha. It takes all kinds, I guess.
I just can't stand the "Okay, it's my turn. Now it's your turn" chess game type of conversations. They bore me to death.

I always find Aries Mercury to be blunt, but quite witty and humorous, in my experience.
