Just as an example - In early 2011 I took some anger I had and just started exercising and got into better shape, lost weight. It's stuck with me ever since. It doesn't have to be exercising of course, just fairly major changes in ones' life. Quitting smoking as my father did after smoking from age 11 to 47. I'm thinking not transits but I suppose if it's a slow moving planet. Or progressed chart? Or, simply learning to channel Mars aggressiveness in this particular case..? Thoughts? IP: Logged |

Hmmm. Not sure about transits, but from my observations, usually major lifestyle changes that stick are precipitated by some major event: job loss, move, diagnosis, death, going back to school, etc. Everything seems to shift at such a time, so it's easier to CHOOSE a new, healthier path for yourself and stick with it. I suspect it is because a crisis makes it hard to slip into old "comfortable" habits.IP: Logged |

Hmmm... perhaps not Astrological at all. Both of those examples followed "crisis" events. IP: Logged |

I read that each planet has an age that it matures at. Mars matures around late 20's or something, and when it matures, its supposed to neutralize. Maybe that's what happened.IP: Logged | |
