Hey, me too!

I read a really great (albeit humbling) article on Ami's site about Pluto in the 3rd. It kind of makes us sound like pontificating know-it-alls, but I found it fairly accurate in some ways. At least the pontificating part. I can't stand it when people put on blinders in life, so I'll just come right out and state my observations...which doesn't usually go over well, but I don't really care most of the time. I'll try to find the link.

Yes link that!very cool! Nice to read you. Yes, that sounds accurate. I have learned or I am trying to just not say anything. You know the whole, "You cant handle the truth", seems to apply to every single person that I come in contact with.,

Here ya go. I honestly didn't read all of it, because it's pretty lengthy. But I read through most of it, and found it fairly accurate, although a bit on the negative side.

<Edit> Not sure about all of the insecurity stuff, as I'm pretty good about saying "okay, you were right about ___________" I don't like it, but when I'm wrong I'm wrong. There's no sense in denying it, because then I would be doing exactly what I can't stand in other people, right? I can be insecure for other reasons, or afraid of being wrong, but I will admit to it (if someone proves it to me, haha).
Oh...and this is only about Pluto in the 3rd, although I also have Libra Pluto.

what is your personal interpretation of Libra Pluto ?

You know....she may not want to admit it but I know someone who gave Ami the confidence to create her webpage.

The setup of her forum makes it very difficult to read.

Yeah, I had a hard time reading that... I actually only just noticed after I posted the link that there were numerous descriptions offered, although I don't think the OP was Ami... I'm not sure.

My knowledge of astrology is limited to what I pay attention to, unfortunately. I haven't paid much attention to my Libra Pluto in 3rd, although it's part of a small triangle.

I would say that the pontification and need to break away from family molds rings true for me. It's been a hard process of learning how to balance preaching at people about politics, socioeconomic issues, equality issues (and even about music and personal style, for crying out loud), and just feeling comfortable with my own beliefs and not feeling the need to shove them at others.

I still dislike seeing people walking around with blinders on, especially if they are close to me and insist on talking about whatever issue they're having that I don't feel they're being objective about (if that makes sense).

So I think that kind of sums it up for me. There were some things in those articles that really hit home, and other things not so much.

I do believe that it gives us the ability to be astute observers of others, and to see deeper into a situation than what may appear on the surface.

Oh, but you were asking about Libra Pluto. There was a thread on another forum about it, and it seemed to be mostly of generational musings.

I think there were some valid points there; we're rather obsessed with physical appearances (more so than previous generations), music, some commitment issues or codependency issues, and can be a bit shallow but politically minded as well.

Just compared to the generations of Virgo and Leo Pluto folk, you know...

I think it's an odd place for Pluto to live, but it seems that there is plenty of vibrant art and music to be found, which is always a good thing.

I have this, too!

I'm a Rabbit with a Pisces moon and don't like confrontation. It bothers me to no end that I sometimes come off much stronger than I intended. (My Pluto is also trine Mercury and Mars.) Once, I got my handwriting analyzed by a professional graphologist and the first thing out of her mouth, after "You just want the bottom line about everything" (which is a 3H Pluto thing) was..."You tend to regret a lot of what you say."

That's right!

Even when I'm not saying anything, sensitive people detect that I'm holding back a lot and wonder what the reason is for it. It's not unusual for people to look at me with curiosity and concern when I'm just sitting there, as if to say, "When are you finally going to tell us what you think?" But the older I get, the less I feel like talking. So I just grin and leave them feeling disconcerted.

Women have told me they find me intimidating at first. This becomes something to laugh about later, because I am super accomodating. Maybe that's the Libra influence...I sincerely want everyone to get along and will focus all my attention on making everyone feel at home and included at any social gathering.

But nobody ever thinks I am just completely harmless. I have a Cap sun square Pluto and Jupiter (cardinal t-square), plus a Scorpio NN, and a lot of intensity that I just can't hide.

It does make sense.

I think so...

Also, I just bought a book about Pluto by Jeff Green (found it in a thrift shop, lucky me.) He says that 3H Pluto people may reach a point where they can heal others psychically just by being in the same room with them. Now THAT would be fun. I hope he's right.

Oooh. Now *that* would be a nice thing to focus our energy on, wouldn't it?!

We have some really similar placements and aspects in our charts, Faith. I'm raising my coffee cup to you this morning.
(No emoticon for drinking coffee, booooh!)

I'm drinking afternoon coffee...clank!

Are you Leo rising, too? And what degree is your sun, may I ask? My moon is at 18 Pisces.

Wow, yes I am Leo rising. Weird, eh? I'm also drinking afternoon coffee, ha. I had a nap, so I'm groggy.

My sun is at 6 degrees, opposite my effing moon at 5 degrees (rounded, of course). Cheers!

Hm. I'm actually wondering if we live in the same part of the country, now that you mention afternoon coffee... I saw that you had mentioned blueberries at some point (we have blackberries).

I won't pry, but that would be nifty, wouldn't it?

I've noticed that Pluto in Libra as explained to me sounded similar to the Dog in Chinese astrology (which I also am) in that while I wanted peace & harmony I could wade into unpleasant territory to bring it about (the Dog barks at those who disrupt or threaten). Perhaps my pluto being on the Scorpio cusp (along with sun and mercury) emphasizes this (as would Leo ascendant, Sag moon & mars, etc).

This placement also makes it easy to adapt to both very traditional and unconventional relationships with equal ease and that's true of me.

Pluto in Libra likes to ensure fairness for all (even those disagreed with) but when that's not possible then it can be very hard to progress. This used to be harder for me when I was younger though an "Aries deluxe" (and also a Rooster!) did help me learn that sometimes one just has to pick a side and go with it and when I can't pick one when detached then pick a PERSONAL angle instead.

Yeah, that's true for me as well. Interesting point.
