I have an 8H moon in Pisces. I have often been the first person to find out when someone dies. Also, I've accidentally stumbled into situations where someone was just killed, about to be killed, or where the body was just found.

It's uncanny how many times this has happened to me.

For example, when I was about twelve, I was in a convenience store with my friend when we heard a loud scream outside. As we left the store, we noticed a few people standing by the side of the road, looking concerned. We went over and a girl my age had just gotten hit by a car and was dying. As it turns out, this girl was friends with several of my friends, and this incident would be talked about for years.

We waited for the paramedics to arrive, we watched the girl's mother arrive and collapse screaming, we saw the girl's face, bloodied beyond recognition. You get the idea.

That's the most gory incident, but there were many more times just like that. It almost makes me feel destined to be nearby when someone dies, or when their body is discovered. I have more stories.

Anyone else with a similar pattern?

That sounds terrible, Faith, I'm so sorry.

Fortunately, nothing similar ever happened to me.
But I don't have 8th house placements.

I wonder why it happens to you?
Could it be a sort of lesson, or a way to make you realize something?

Thank you, Doux.

To me, it's not terrible, just very peculiar. I mean, doctors deal with dying and blood all the time. I just seem to stumble on the same kind of situations randomly.

Another example is when my husband's elderly friend shot himself. He lived about two blocks away. We happened to hear the shot (not knowing exactly who or what was shot) and we just happened to be walking down the street right after the body was discovered the next day. The man's son came right out of the house and was telling us...of all people....about having to wash his father's brains off the wall.

Others might have had a hard time with that. But I have had so many death experiences, this wasn't even that shocking to me. I was glad to be able to lend a sympathetic ear to the man. And that's the only time I have ever met him.

Just wondering if others are like this.

It might have something to do with my Scorpio NN which is trine my moon, 2 degree orb.

I'm dating a moon a moon in the 8th houser.
We calmly had a conversation about death and our experiences.
I noticed 8th housers have an easy time accepting death while others maybe scarred for life.

I've not experienced anything like this so far. My Gemini Moon is in 8th house. I have Scorpio NN as well. It inconjuncts my Moon.

Is your Moon afflicted?

I don't feel brave, Doux, but I will take the hug!

I would love to hear from others with a similar thing going on...I'm sure I can't be the only one.

Hmm...nothing for you then? This started when I was young.

Yes, my moon is afflicted, it forms a t-square with Mars and Neptune.

It could be that my moon is in Pisces and rules my 12H.

But I thought the eighth house was a good place to start looking for answers.

Plus the square to Mars (violence) and Neptune (natural ruler of the 12th and "endings" ie death or the spiritual world) emphasizes the whole thing.

Yes, yes! Violent endings...I was around for many violent endings. Just to give another example, I flew to London three days before Princess Diana was killed.

But I was around for quiet endings, too.

I have an eighth house moon in Taurus conjunct Algol opposite Neptune and death really scares me, it always has.
This kind of stuff never happens to me, being the first to find out about someone dying or stumbling on a location a body was later found but I have always had this phobia about death. I am just not comfortable with any of it, never have been. I feel creeped out by funerals.

Oh, Faith. I'm also very sorry to hear that you've had to witness these things.

I have no moon in 8th, but my sun is also in Pisces/8th. No aspects to Mars or 12th house, although it trines my Saturn, which is about 3 degrees from my 12th. Not sure if that's considered on the cusp or not.

I don't stumble upon death, but I've had to witness at least one tragic (and very traumatizing) death when Saturn touches my sun. At the very least, I lose family members. This is the primary reason that I despise Saturn transits (I think I've mentioned that a few times).

I do usually have dreams that tell me when someone is going to die or get harmed unexpectedly, although they come in symbols that I've learned to interpret intuitively.

Hugs from me as well. I'm glad that you've been able to get through those experiences.

Well, I can only speak for my youngest:

8th house Sun, Moon in Aqua.

Her dad killed himself when she was 9, she, by all practical standards "should have not" survived life herself as she was born with a severe heart defect.

She is 21 now, she is a gifted channeler, and she has had friends who are dead already at this young age, and she only knows it thru channeling.

And, yes, I am soory, too Faith for your experiences....

loss for more words right now....

I think this might be it, the north node signifying "encounters". I've got an 8th house Moon, and I haven't experienced stuff like this. In my case it seems more to do with how I handle crisis and extreme situations.

Thank you ladies~ but again, it's not sad to me. It's just a weird thing.

hippichick, I do feel bad for your daughter, though! *hug* to her.

Maybe my theory was off to begin with...maybe it's not about the 8H moon.

@Violets, sorry for your experiences! Sounds like you've been through a lot.

You got me thinking it could be Saturn. I have it in my 12H, in mutual reception with my 6H sun. Maybe this makes me something of a spiritual paramedic, haunting the scenes of accidents and trying to lift the vibe a bit.

Like you, I've had psychic dreams about people dying.

Until I can figure out which *sign* rules a house, I'm going to shut up. For a minute.

I understand house rulership, and the ruler of a sign being in a certain house and all that, but I'm not sure how a sign rules a specific house.
So...no comment.

<Another edit> I thought you shared a birthday with Elvis and David Bowie for a minute, but I guess they're on the 8th.)

Well, back to topic. I'm really glad to hear that your experiences in this regard haven't been traumatizing.

On the other hand, my brother in-law has Saturn in 12th (I'll have to look at his chart to see which signs, I think in conjunction with his Leo AC) and he literally "sees dead people". Hm.

I think you are right on with the 8th house and death...

I have a Scorp asc and death does not bother me.

ANYBODY with a heavy 8th house thing will always have "death" throw in their faces...

I agree that this probably is the reason why Faith has such vivid 8th house experiences. It's more then Moon in the 8th house, it's how the Moon's aspected and maybe it's rulership as well.

If moon in Pisces in the 8th house squares Neptune, the Moon is also square the 8th house ruler. Add that to the Moon square Mars, and it's paints kind of a dramatic picture with regard to 8th house stuff.

In my case I've got Moon in Cancer in the 8th house. The only aspect it receives is a quincunx from Venus... I'm not exactly prone to over-the-top crazy happenings to do with 8th house type stuff. Nothing like that has really happened to me.

I'm just attracted mysterious/metaphysical things.

^ That's a good point, Lotis. Come to think of it...most of these experiences happened when I was setting out to do something fun (Neptune in my 5H.)

For example, one incident happened on my honeymoon: we got held up in traffic on a remote road in California. When we passed the cluster of cops, my husband asked them what the scene was about, and the cop replied, "We just found the third body here." This was a national news story.

Another incident happened while I was on vacation with my friend (around age 11), and yet another when I was going to my friend's house to teach her kids drawing.

Theme is, setting out to have a good time and being intercepted by news or sighting of violent death.

I take comfort in the fact that nobody ever dies when I'm right there, though. I just seem to show up right afterwards.

Thank you, that is reassuring. Well, the first part is. Most of my children have prominent Scorpio/8H and I don't want them to go through this kind of stuff, naturally. On the other hand...death is part of life, and if they turn out like me (or you!), it's not that bad.
