Topic: Quick Question About Venus Oppositions

So there is this guy... (story of my life). I met him when I was 11, he moved in next door to us and the first time I saw him I felt like someone knocked the breath out of me - think Cupids arrow kind of stuff. I had a HUGE crush on him for years. Nothing ever happened between us because he was out of my league not to mention he had a new girlfriend every week (he's still a charming player at 45)Anyway Fast forward to present day - we are friends on Facebook (I know, eye roll) it's very platonic and I'm fine with that BUT he still makes my heart skip a beat. Here's my question (that turned out not to be so quick - sorry about that) from doing our chart I see his Venus opposing my mars, jupiter, uranus and pluto. Tightly trine my neptune and juno and conjunct my chiron. I kind of figured he'd be the one to feel all of this since my venus hardly touches any of his planets but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one feeling butterflies. What am I missing here? IP: Logged |

Hi Ann,There's nothing weird about it, actually.
His Venus aspects a LOT of your planets, planets that most likely rule your relationship houses or angles - ASC/DSC, IC/MC, 5th, 8th houses - so it makes sense that his Venus would "awaken" particular, sensitive areas in you. Venus / Mars aspects in synastry usually point to the Mars person wanting Venus but not necessarily vice versa.
The fact that your Jupiter (expansion) and Pluto (obsession, tenacity) are involved, only strengthens your "grasp". Try to see the situation clearly and don't expect the impossible.

Thanks  Not sure about the house thing as all of the planets in opposition fall in my tenth. Maybe juno and neptune in the 12th and chiron in the 4th but there is nothing, that I know of, hitting my relationship houses. I'm not hoping to hook up with this guy, I know that's not meant to be. I'm more curious as to why I feel this and why he seems oblivious. (Trying to gratify my ego) :P Your input is appreciated, though!!! IP: Logged |
