I know some people will laugh when I say this but I was talking about my mother and my son told me I had a victim mentality.

I could see it when he said it and I could receive it from him because I know it is coming from a place of love.

Also, I have been watching people who are super victims. I don't blame them because I think people are locked into this until THEY see it, themselves.

No one can really tell you or if they do, you have to be strong enough to receive it etc

The worst thing people can do is pummel you with it when you have no idea how to change.

However, that is not the point of this post.

I would like to explore the charts for what would make a victim mentality ie. the person feels he has no power in his life.

I see it as a profile but I want to hear what traits you think would make up the profile.

Use personal experiences if you want.

I think some of these things are simply passed down and "adopted" also.
My sister has this mentality and so does her daughter.
The thing that actually annoys the **** out of me was both myself, and another niece offered to help her out and she just came up with excuse after ridiculous excuse as to why our help wouldn't work.
Then I just thought, screw it then. I don't feel sorry for you.

My sister has Leo sun, Mercury, and Mars with Pisces moon and Gemini Venus and a surprisingly low amount of aspects. Not a chart that I think would have a victim mentality but I am no expert.

My niece is Gemini Sun and Cap moon.

Heavy saturn stuff and twelfth house stuff can make you feel like a victim at times.

Makes sense, Thanks AG.

I think we have to look at the Child asteroid, too.

We have to look at Dejanira.

Perhaps, a weakened Mars like Cancer.

I would like someone to answer this question about my chart.
I have no oppositions and only a generational square or maybe 2.
It is all upper except 2 planets which is extroverted. I really don't have any super hard thing in it.

However, if you put my mother's next to it, IQ said it was awful what my mother's chart did to my chart.

What do you think?

My Moon has a 10 degree conjunction with Mars and a 7-8 degree trine with Saturn. Some people call it Unaspected.

Anyway, I would appreciate any thoughts xx

I dont think this has to do with astrology. I read about it before. A lot of people end up taking the trait of their parents that they hated the most, and they do it subconsciously. The only thing to do is to be detached from the thought when thinking about it...like don't give and take with the voices in your head/heart when something from the past that angered you about her comes up, and if you keep on doing that, with time you will be the change you wish for her in her

Well, everything is seen in the charts. We may think that things happened randomly such as we got this bad father etc. However, I think the charts will show all.

That is one reason that I believe God made the birth chart as a road map for each person.

People may not share this opinion and that is cool.

I differ with many people over many things and we are still friends.

However, my thread about seeing the victim mentality in the chart is valid imo

Thanks Panthera

Anyone can be brutally honest with me. Truth is love.

My question is this. I seem to have an easy chart but my life was very hard but it was only one thing and that was my mother.

I don't understand how my chart can be easy.

Anyway, any insights are very welcomed!

Hm, regarding your mother, Ami, you have Moon in Cancer conjunct the MC. In Cancer, I find mothers can be abusive and harsh which will make you seek loving and tender people. Conjunct the MC could explain why she always put you down and made you feel like you were nothing, because Moon conjunct the MC could make you strive for success - but I haven't really paid attention to this aspect so it is just speculation.

The funny thing about Moon signs is they show what people you are attracted to but it ties in with your mother because she treats you the opposite, and so you seek the opposite of how she treated or raised you.

And about victim mentalities, I notice Cancer and Virgo influenced people will often feel neglected or misused then be out and vocal or active about it. Pisces can seem like a victim too, but they tend to suffer in silence, ignore it, etc. I think a weakened Mars can show it too because then you may feel like you aren't being recognised for what you want to be.

Sorry about just getting back now Ami I am just back from the theatre. I was out with some friends.

I don't no If these aspects would indicate or the victim mentality or not.I do wonder if your Sun and Mercury trine Netpune and your Neptune square Uranus conjunct Jupiter would make it easier for people to abuse, manipulate and control you.
I was thinking that the Neptune trines would help soften your ego and mind.Jupiter seems to expand what it touches perhaps the conjunction to Uranus may have magnified your Uranian tendencies. Uranus squared Neptune so perhaps that made things more unstable and confusing for you.

I think it would be helpful to look at your mothers and also the synastry chart between you and her because I think it might reveal more.

Thank you Panthera dear. There is no rush on anything. The square is generational though, so not really personal, as I understand it.

This is just a thing I find can be pretty consistent...

The Moon sign shows both your mother, and the people you subconsciously are attracted to.
It can also do both by showing qualities in your mum which you begin to seek out the opposite of.

For example, a Taurus Moon might have a mother who is controlling, who has dependency issues (either on the child or in their romances), stuff like that - you know, the bad features of Taurus.

SO! Being raised with a controlling or dependent mother, the person with a Taurus Moon will be attracted to people who are reasonable and level-headed. Maybe in a relationship, the Taurus Moon might want someone they can provide for in a sensual way, not a dependent way.

But it does work in reverse too! A Capricorn Moon person might have a mum who is dignified, prim, honourable, womanly but not sexual - good Capricorn qualities.

So, in turn, they might be attracted to people who are raunchy, or they'll find themselves with an unstable or dubious romantic life, or they might live a racy love life because they want thrills.

Wow interesting, SE. I am most attracted to Capricorn of any sign, basically. You are right. I love the stable feeling that Cappys have.

Ok--back to the Taurus Moon. Would be be attracted to Scorpio Moon traits?

The Taurus Moon might have a mother who has bad Taurus traits, so they might grow attracted to good Scorpio Moon traits. Kind of like that.

Thank you SE.I am attracted to the traits of the opposite moon, super.
For me, my fave female friends have Cap Moons.

This is the same for platonic male friends.

This Moon makes me feel safe as they are more on the ball about real life than I am.

People when they first meet me think of me as a victim. And I'm sick of it, it is just so AGH I have no words for it.

Soon later on they discover that I'm really not. I am guessing my Chiron conjunct AC
