Well I love my home, it's my castle and sanctuary. I am very protective of my family and selective of who I allow in my home. Having my Sun in this house gives me an even more Cancerian vibe than I already have lol... those I allow in I tend to spoil... lovely food and drinks, comfortable serene surroundings. Woe to the one who desecrates my beloved space. IP: Logged |

I have Sun, Aquarius on the 4th House Cusp, Mercury and Saturn in the 4th House. My home is definitely my sanctuary and place of peace.------------------ Sun Pisces Scorpio Rising Taurus Moon Venus in Capricorn Mars In Leo "Can't run from myself-there's nowhere to hide" "That's who I am, 1000% illusion" IP: Logged |

I agree. Sanctuary. That is what comes to mind when I think of my home. When I was still living "at home" with my parents, then my bedroom was my sanctuary. I think everyone with a 4th house Sun needs a place that is all their own, even if it's just a small, draped off corner someplace.IP: Logged |

Ok so what happens when you live with people you don't get along with or if someone you don't like pops in for a visit without calling?Do you feel this placement makes you physically sensitive? Like if you don't get enough rest or your tranquil environment has been interrupted you can't function when you go to work and such? IP: Logged |

Also, since the fourth house represents a parent, which one does it represent for you? Your mother or father? Also how does it feel?IP: Logged |

When I recall or think of home as a child and growing up my father comes to mind. He was my biggest supporter and a great dad-I miss him very much. ------------------ Sun Pisces Scorpio Rising Taurus Moon Venus in Capricorn Mars In Leo "Can't run from myself-there's nowhere to hide" "That's who I am, 1000% illusion" IP: Logged |

Yes, I think you could say it makes a person physically sensitive and a lack of tranquility can be disruptive. But that is why I've always found ways to MAKE a spot for myself. As a teen, I installed a lock on my bedroom door to keep my bratty little sister out. If someone came to visit, I'd stay in my room or not even open the door if that was an option (pretend I'm not at home). Shoot, I don't even answer the PHONE if I don't feel like it! And before I had my own room, I still found ways to have a place of sanctuary. I had a draped off corner of the garage for a while, a place on the side of the house where I covered a couple of chairs with a blanket and hid out under there, and another place where I had to crawl through some bushes to a spot that was probably not more than one yard square but had a leafy canopy over the top so it was nice and cool in the heat. Really, if it's important enough to you, you can make it happen. I always did. IP: Logged |

I am a H3 Sun but my Sun is conjunct the IC! I am quite oriented towards the past. I am very nostalgic and I am saddened that there are times which I can't relive. Oh well, it's a part of life I tell myself and keep on keeping on. Being that I am not a H4 Sun, though, sanctuaries are not important to me. I am more free and unbound. I don't mind people going through my stuff or going in my room, just don't make a mess! IP: Logged |

I can tolerate it as long as I know that I WILL have a space for myself at the end of the ride like a private motel room. I suppose if I had to share a room as well that I'd end up locking myself in the bathroom for a long bath or shower! If I had a traveling companion and one trip let's me know that it's not a good fit between us as far as giving/respecting space and need for solitude, then I definately wouldn't choose to travel with that person again. Honestly, I'd rather not travel than to go with someone I don't like being with. I've dropped a car pool partner who was too much of a non-stop talker because the gas money just wasn't worth it. I timed her once; she went on for a full 15 minutes without a word from me before she stopped talking. Then she stopped for about two minutes before she started up again. It turns out that her Mercury is on my South Node so it's not surprising that I found her so draining!

Yeah, me. We are homebodies by nature and want to make our home our castle. I"m big into decorating and comfortable living. I want my home to be a place of beauty and somewhere where people can relax, and eat good food and drink good wine and talk and have beautiful things to look at and soft blankets, warm fires, fine art.....that kind of thing.Taurus Sun in the house ruled by Cancer (4th) IP: Logged |

I feel that anyone dropping in without adequate notice counts as an invasion and I do not take kindly to it; even family or close friends. They all know this about me and accept it with kind understanding. If I'm unable to enjoy what I consider enough time in my sanctuary each day or during the week I feel disjointed, irritable, frustrated and lost... and yes it spills over into other areas of my life. I cannot live the life I live without it. I'm totally destined for Hermitville, population 1. Without cats. I think the fourth for me represents my dad because it's kind of the heart of my chart... he and I were much closer. Plus my MC is in Aqua, which is mom's sun sign. And it's empty. Nice post elixir. Neither as I feel pretty much an orphan. My 4h house is MINE and mind only! ...except for the people I invite in there. LOL IP: Logged |

4th for me represents my father and the 10th seems more like my mother. IP: Logged |

@jkitty can i ask why you feel it represents your father? I have read that fourth is the mother and tenth is the father. Is it because the sun(ego, identity) is there?IP: Logged |

In horary it's the opposite with 4th being father and 10th being mother and I've actually found that more fitting. For me, I have the Moon in Leo in my 10th house with Cancer on the cusp. My mom was a solar Cancer and I'd describe her as an emotionally proud woman. I have Jupiter, Saturn and Sun in the 4th (Sun in Aquarius, but Capricorn for the cusp and the other planets). My father was a solar Capricorn. IP: Logged |

I have Sun conjunct IC in Sag along with Mars.I noticed that I don' like it when guests come over. I start feeling uncomfortable around them and I won't feel better until they leave. I like my privacy and I will fight teeth and nails for it. I hate it when people barge into my room and start raining questions over me " what's this ? When did you buy this ? Can I touch it ?....." I NEED to spend some time alone to recharge my batteries at the end of the day because if I don't, I will start lashing out at people for no reason. I'm quite protective of my home/family and also of my friends. If I ever hear someone badmouthing my family or one of my friends, I will staff their tongues down their throats so they won't be able to ever speak again. I'm not even kidding, I did it before. I'm also protective of things I own.

I also have a 4th house Sun. Mine is in Pisces. I also have Mercury in Aries there!I agree with pretty much everything that everyone has mentioned. You brought up an insteresting question elixir, which was what happens if you live with people you don't get along with etc.? Again, I have to agree with what someone else has said already and that is my bedroom becomes my "sanctuary". Me and my brother often have personality clashes (how typical :P) and if I just don't feel like coming across him etc., then I definitely feel the need to spend some time in my bedroom and recharge my energies in a nice, relaxing and comforting environment. Otherwise, my home in general is usually when I do this and it is very important to me that I feel peace and stability there. I'm a very private person. The perfect example is that I'm definitely not one of those people who shares everything and more on their Facebook. When people ask me why I'm not more active on there, I always think of my private 4th house Sun. They may not seem to understand as I don't come across as a private person (Sag rising, Moon conjunct Jupiter, big Jupiterian influence in my chart overall etc.), but the truth is that I really am. I'm very protective of my private life and those I love too. I dream of the day I'll have my own house, where I'll be the one and only responsible for the peaceful environment I'll live in. I love everything to do with decorating the house and domestic tasks too. I find hard to let go of the past too. And I mean, sometimes things from years ago, even childhood. At times it's probably because I'm too hard on myself (which may have to do with other stuff in my Natal Chart), other times I guess it's simply because it's hard for me to let go of something or someone that was once so close to me and things as such. Others may think they know me, but they really don't unless I feel I can trust them enough to show them my 4th house side. It's easy for me to open up to someone on a superficial level. At least, on what I consider to be a superficial level, comparing to what I know I hold in my "shell". It's not easy for me to feel that I can trust someone enough to welcome them in my intimacy. When I do though, I'm truly a happy bunny. There's no better feeling that openly being and giving yourself totally to someone and the mutual acceptance that comes with it. That's not so easy to achieve with a 4th house Sun, specially a watery one! IP: Logged |

Would you say that you don't like to let people in your aura/bubble/shell outside of the home too? As in..you feel easily invaded? Also just curious- would you say you are overall introverted or extroverted?IP: Logged |
