Not caring about your appearance, sporting greasy hair, wearing dirty clothes, poor habits regarding basic hygienic routines e.g. brushing your teeth, showering etc.
What gives? This seems to me like Venus territory or more accurately anti-Venus territory. Any thoughts? I would just like to say that as a person with a 6H stellium I cringed writing all of that.

It would indicate an afflicted 6th house, bad placements in Virgo, or, yes, an afflicted venus------------------
I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history IP: Logged |

I've read venus in virgo conjunct asc gives bad hygiene.

I am Virgo sun and I can't stand the bacteria smell. I have a stash of breath mints I carry in my purse at all times I am fanatical about breath mints. There's a reason they are named "Life Saviors" but that's not the brand I carry.IP: Logged |

Interesting. I've noticed this in mutable signs as well, mainly in Sagittarius Suns but not enough for me to say that it comes from that for sure. I also highly doubt that the Sun alone can cause this, it needs something more.. IP: Logged |

Why would Uranus give bad hygiene? Since hygiene is thought of as Virgo and sixth house?
Afflicted moon on the ascendant could mean bad hygiene. Afflicted Venus or Neptune on or near the ascendant?
Moon can mean sloppiness when afflicted
Venus can mean laziness when afflicted
Neptune can be so disorderly and confused, can forget to take a shower or bath, or have a fear of water/getting wet.IP: Logged |

Yes, but it wasn't what I had meant. Personally, I don't have anything bad as far as Venus or the 6th house but I do have a Uranus singleton and I don't really care how I look at home, just when I know I have to and meet someone and I'm trying to impress them ------------------

There's differing intensities of bad hygiene. Lounging at home is one thing but there's people who never shower/bathe or brush their teeth. They wear the same clothing everyday, never washing it and they have that bacterial odor it's so loud and glaringly obvious, there's no escaping it once it fills the nostrils. This is what I think of as having bad hygiene. When someone is lounging at home, that's a different matter, their hair can be unbrushed they might go a day without showering. haha I have venus square jupiter in virgo.I won't shower for 2-3 days if I'm alone and home bound because idgaf.
It's not like i'm stinky lmfao But I brush my teeth all the time because I'm obsessed with my smile......
actually I'm going to brush right now.... Im curious some people smell really foul..... like all the time..

What causes that?
2-3 days without a shower nbd unless you are doing a lot of work that causes sweating, then it can be a problem.That smell comes from not washing clothing/bathing and not brushing the teeth. It's the bacteria that grows in such environment's respiration cycle that causes the odor.

Hygienes important but i would rather be 'dirty' than cover myself in man made chemicals, sport the wild side  Ketu 6th ------------------

What about Neptune in a chart? Wouldn't hard aspects to Neptune indicate kind of a lazy, lackidaisical disposition about things?I have Pisces Sun/Virgo Moon square Sag Neptune, and I can be that "lounging around at home" person who doesn't care, as long as no one is going to see me, ha. But the Leo AC and Virgo Moon insist on impeccable appearances when I'm going somewhere, or related to my home if someone is coming over. I can kind of go either way. I'm not gross or smelly though, even if I'm home by myself in my pajamas or whatever.

My Neptune is all about physical sensitivity and allergies this causes me to shower more frequently but I have to watch it because I am just as allergic to the soap as I am to dust. Afflicted Neptune has made me more hygienic and I love water I just don't like the sensation of wet skin and dislike perspiration. It makes my skin itch. IP: Logged |
