I read that they can be just as powerful in synastry, is that true in your opinion? So if I have sun quintile venus with someone would it be similar to sun trine venus?

No, its a minor aspect and is not as strong as sex tiles and trines. Personally I don't use minor aspects

Agree with Nicki - the quintile is very weak compared to the trine.

It's a very subtle energy that needs some "push" to truly come into action.

I have some to Mars and I like to count them because Mars needs all the help it can get. They are supposed to be natural talent and ability.
