Per the east, perhaps Venus was the main player?

I speculate both positions to be correct. After all, the two major symbols of Christianity are The Ram/The Lamb and The Fish/Fisher of Men corresponding to Aries and Pisces, the first and last signs of the zodiacal Wheel of Life. The Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. The first and the last. Aries and Pisces.

Revelation 21:6

Anyways, it's just I always thought that it was a peculiar tradition to devil eggs on Easter.
