Because for me they don't and they never have.

Nothing ever hits home.

I read the forecasts for both my sun sign and my ASC.

I have read her forecast they are nicely written, maybe they are just too long, but something is off. I prefer JanSpiller.com or the weekly from astralreflections.com or kathycooper.com, they are more on target and easier to remember.
Can someone recommend a good monthly forecast?

Yes, I wonder who really gets anything out of them.

I do like Anne Ortelee's Weekly Weather, she seems to know what she is doing.

I haven't found any that do really.

I've also heard to listen for your Ascendant sign but who knows.

I've read her forecasts for both my Sun sign and ASC, but they never work... Too detailed and also naive, IMO.

Yes. Susan Miller's forecasts are the most accurate for me. They are the only ones I read lately.
Her Mercury is exactly conjunct mine in Pisces - so I like the way she writes - a lot!

Oh Lots of people do.
Why do you wonder that?

She has quite a large fan base.

I mean, if you don't like it - then find one that works for you.

I don't mean to be skeptical but you are very new to LL.. and it's strange to me that you would create this thread bashing her site.
Are you a competing Astrologer by any chance?

No, I am not new to LL. I've been here since 2006.

No, I am not Anne Ortelee.

No, I am not a competing astrologer.

If you find Susan Miller's forecasts to be helpful, that's just good for you.

The formulation of the question is neutral: Do Susan Miller's monthly forecasts work for you?

That is what I wanted to hear and so far four people have replied.

I forgot to mention Penny Thorton from astrolutely.com, she is much more accurate and she has a weekly, monthly, and yearly forecast. Penny Thornton forecast is always on time, and she appears to be consistently respectful and professional towards all her fans. Bigger is not always better. I will check out Anne Ortelee's Weekly Weather.

Thanks for sharing

Not at all! on second thought i think they are great...whatever she says the 180% opposite had been true,
(can't get it away from me that the worst day of my in the past 4 days, she had written 'the angels must be singing on this day')
on the other hand i second Penny Thoronton, she knows what she is doing, and i love Jonathan Cainer, he writes in a funny way but never a naive way.

Thanks for the tip

I do find Susan Miller's unnecessarily long-winded.

I'm a huge fan of Tali and Ophira's stuff, they can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned.

I forgot to add, I also like Yahoo!7's horoscopes (Australian Yahoo). They're succinct and accurate, for me. I believe Yasmine Boland writes them.

I find Susan Miller yearly prediction fairly good, just because nobody good does them.

I recently got introduced to Steve Judd by my friend even though I keep forgetting his name.

Hi-

I hate to sound down on Susan Miller, but I agree...They do not resonate with me. I read my sun and ascendant. Sometimes they are too fluffy. I just try to grasp the themes.

I like Anne Ortelee too, I listen to her weekly weather show. I find the video scopes at astro-counseling.com to be direct enough without getting too fluffy.

I never really checked for her work. Someone that follows me on Twitter said that her September forecast was dead accurate. I followed her on Twitter and read her tweets. They seemed too new agey, and not really raw/real enough.

I know many say that there are no bad aspects, there are challenges. This is true but, that doesn't mean being born under negative/poor placements and aspects won't give you more problems than someone else before you learn to conquer.

On another site, someone called the new age fluffy astrology stuff "Cat lady astrology". That made me laugh hysterically but it's also kind of true when you look at it.

That explains her long winded/ "fluffy" scribes. Writing that reads like a novel/storybook

I never really read it, but so far this is spot-on for me

quote:
September 6-7 will be potentially powerful, positive days for you - they deserve four gold stars. At this time, you will see the power of friendships and community in your life. These days may turn out to be some of your favorite days! If you are invited to a social event on one of these days, it appears to be quite luxurious and beautiful, so you must attend!

A thing that I notice with these general forecasts is that the houses for my transit planets are wrong, so you have to take that into account. For example, she says Jupiter is transiting my 11th house when it's really transiting my 5th. So, you have to make sure that in your own chart the planet she mentions is actually transiting said house..

quote:
The month will be punctuated with a lovely aspect, September 26, when Venus in Scorpio will be in divine angle to Jupiter in Cancer. You may be invited to quite a beautiful event where friends will surround you, along with other people present who you will want to know better. You need a little fun, and this one would fit the bill. There will be something luxurious about this social event, and it may come plus or minus one day from this date, September 26. This is an A-list day, so say yes! Go!

This will take place Sept. 29th

quote:
By the full moon, September 19, plus or minus four days, you will want to make an important decision about that partner. If you are in love, Pluto's turn from retrograde to direct on September 20 should bring clarity and a sense of purpose. Pluto has been out of phase for months, since April 12, so if you've had a hard time coming to a conclusion about the future of a love affair, a creative project, or a question concerning a child or pregnancy, more information coming now should allow you to decide what you should do next.

Had a reading that gave me the date of Sept. 14th to be important about my next potential pregnancy. I asked who the father will be and cards showed that it will be known around this date, so again this seems to resonate with what I have read for myself (which may be wrong ) - but the same dates were also told to me in a dream (dates of 13,14,15 of Sept).

Thank you, EmpressMendez, for your input.

I don't get that the transits can be so off in your chart? I mean changing from the 11th to the 5th is the exact opposite? How can she make a mistake like that with a slower moving planet like Jupiter?

I have always read her forecasts for both my Sun sign and my ASC sign and they are only one house off depending on which one I read.
