I know Jamini has some very defining rules one of which is that the signs cast aspects not the planets like for instance

a. Aries aspects Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius
b. Taurus aspects Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn
c. Cancer aspects Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus
d. Leo aspects Libra, Capricorn, and Aries
e. Libra aspects Aquarius, Taurus, and Leo
f. Scorpio aspects Capricorn, Aries, and Cancer
g. Capricorn aspects Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio
h. Aquarius aspects Aries, Cancer, and Libra
i. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces aspect each other

With regards to karakas I know Parasara Vedic attributes certain planets as natural karakas for example Venus is the natural karaka for marriage, mars is the natural karak for brothers and so forth. I also know that Jamini doesn't regard Rahu and Ketu as karakas worthy planets.

Also I believe they have another way to define mahadasas that is based on the rasi mahadasas rather than the graha mahadasas as described in Parasara. Actually Jamini is supposed to be mostly practiced by a somewhat secret tradition of south india most specifically in AP.

That said I prefer to use natural karakas and use the grahas to determine events in mahadasas. But what I really like is the way they define yogas with respect to saturn. They view saturn as a very special planet, of course he is special but the yogas that he forms with Venus and the Moon are mostly phenomenal in kind. The fact that saturn plays such an important role in both my Lagna and Navamsa I particularly like their view on the planet. Saturn is not always about hardships and failures and sadness, he is fair and just and very rewarding not the kind that gives something for one day or two but that rewards you for your entire life. I can see your the placement of your moon is aspected by house and by sign by saturn.

Of course!

The karakas are super duper important. Venus is my yogakaraka together with Mercury, the sun represents father and it is with aspect with my Jupiter both karakas, the latter is karaka of wealth, the former is karaka for father, husband, promotion, wealth and they are in aspect so basically I will benefit a lot from my father and husband throughout my life. Yes karakas are very important!

When I was born my father received a promotion. I was born during rahu mahadasa BTW. When I least expected it I was 'saved' by my father, I always by some means or the other got the best education money can buy. Yes I have felt every bit of my mahasadas, whether they are good ones and not so good.
