Anyone else with a cancer mars, or knows anyone with it? it seems like the only way i want to achieve/want something is to break down and cry, which usually ends up as not getting what i desire. I hide all my emotions inside and it makes getting to know people a complete pain because i come off as cold and i really want to know them. Procrastination is also a problem. In my opinion this has got to be one of the worst placements for mars and i'm just cursed with this pathetic placement. What good is a cancer mars in a world where people are selfish and do not really want nurturing? What's worse is my mars is in difficult aspect to neptune. (Mars opposite neptune) making me even more sensitive and not knowing what to do. I feel like people can just totally bulldoze over me because i can't fight because of these sucky placements. Not really cancer is a powerful cardinal water sign. They can be passive agressive but sometimes they can like lose control. Especially depending on the transits of the moon. I've seen one get violent it was pretty scary, but he had Moon conjunct Mars but most of the time they avoid conflict and hide.IP: Logged |

I have mars in cancer and it opposes my Neptune as well so I completely understand and relate to everything you said. The only thing I don't put up with is someone bulldozing over me. I'm extremely small and look like I couldn't harm a fly but once it comes to me and belittling and insulting me its game over. I can make a person's like complete hell especially when it involves my family. I definitely have very very bad procrastination problems unfortunately. I am very emotional but tend to keep it all bottled up, but Im also very friendly I love people and meeting new people. I don't think it's a bad placement well for me at least. My air placements really help even out so its really not that bad for me. Im sorry that you have to go through all of that that's horrible never fun. But I promise you it will get better. You just have to stay positive and stand up for yourself. Just take every day one day at a time and it will get better love. I promise IP: Logged |

Hmm. I can relate. What does the rest of your chart look like? Do you have a Sagittarius sun? What about your ascendant and moon?

I've got Mars in Cancer, retrograde. I can definitely relate to the procrastination! One thing I've realized with time is that some things get worse if you put them off and others go away if you put them off, so the trick has been to recognize which is which.I've had to learn to express my anger rather than bottle it up until it becomes intolerable. Much better to deal with things before they grow. Learning how to express anger in a healthy, reasonable manner prevents it from going inward and making me depressed. Can't relate to the other stuff; that must be other placements or aspects to your Mars I think. IP: Logged |

I love Mars in Cancer(especially when it trines my Venus, conjuncts my Moon or trines my Pluto) yummy. My Mom has this placement and she'd do anything for her children. She worries a lot about us (bless her). Another guy I had a rendesvous with had this, and I always got to see his more vulnerable side.Always! The best expression, in my experience, for this Mars sign, is through the promotion of collaberation, nurturing and comforting of those who need attention. This dudes hugs were legendary but he really had trouble letting go of past hurts. Our arguments would not be forgotten-weeks after having them. I understood this, being a Moon in Cancer and having Scorpio placemnts as well as Sun in 8th house, but I think he started to get really paranoid- and that made it more and more difficult to stay with him. He was a great guy though...at the best of times. IP: Logged |

Urm...Chris Brown Pink Alanis Morrisette They ALL have Mars in Cancer and they are far from being pushovers! My Grandmother also had Mars in Cancer -- she was a fighter for the UNDERDOG. She doggedly stood up against you when you were wrong. She hated a COWARD more than anything else in the world! She was a Virgo w/ Aries Moon. IP: Logged |

A lot of it has to do with what house Mars is in. Mars in an angular house or conjunct the MC or AC would make it stronger. Mars in good aspect helps too.

Have you checked duad/decan too op? Not all mars in cancer natives I know are pushoversMy B.O lol.. has mars in the cancer 8th house in the scorpio duad and scorpio decan Not a push over what so ever! People usually respect him. One time these punks were harassing me and I who has mars in aries with a scorpio duad, was like lets ignore but he approached them and said something vague to them and they walked away... Yeah I love how he kept his composure yet scared them ******** . I would probably say something that would get us into a fight that's why I wanted to avoid them. IP: Logged |

You are so right about Libra ascendant making you cautious! It's great to read alternative interpretations of Libra rising instead of just "superficial, stylish, designer clothing." It all depends on where the chart ruler is and what it's doing. I feel cautious with Libra rising, too.

I have Mars in Cancer. I used to feel the same way you do right now! Especially when I learned that Mars is in fall in that sign, I felt trying to achieve things was futile. But in reality, it can be an asset. One of Cancer's strongest qualities is TENACITY - we do NOT let things go. So when I get my teeth into something I carry on until the bitter end (I'm often crying at said end, but still, haha).Seriously though - how I've dealt with this aspect in my life is through effort. Aspects like this simply mean you have to work harder to express the energies of that planet. Cancer struggles to be direct, which is tricky with mars, the planet of action. But we do still MOVE, we just do it sideways. I've learned that I can do anything, but I have to do it *my own way*. Cancer is a cardinal sign and has to take control of itself. I find that with me, I have to practice at everything, and work harder than other people - like learning a new job or skill - but when I finally get that breakthrough it's because I've developed an intuitive grasp of the task at hand. Intuition is the key with Cancer. We need to get *comfortable* with something before we can act with confidence. Another thing I tend to find - I can stick up for other people a hell of a lot better than I can stick up for myself. Cancer is a sympathetic sign and you might find you get your RAGE when someone else needs taken care of (especially a family member or someone who means a lot to you). We'll never be good at confrontation (without blubbing), and personally I'm quite a lethargic person. At the end of the day it's a moody sign, so sometimes you'll feel you have get up and go, and sometimes you won't. You'll definitely be at the mercy of your emotions. At the end of the day though, if you're not a confrontational person, I don't see anything wrong with that. I think the world needs more peaceful, easy-going people IP: Logged |

My ex had a Cancer mars, but it was in the 8th house squaring jupiter and trining uranus. He wasn't that passive, think the Aries venus and sun were quite prominent. He was a go getter, was intellectually gifted and was a sporting champ. He was also not particularly passive aggressive. He did like to hide emotions though (scorpio rising, pisces moon). However, he does have a sag duad mars and venus in 5th house so I think that contributed IP: Logged |

I'm also Libra-Rising and I am *FAR* from superficial. I like to look nice, yes. But that isn't enough! Character is much more fascinating to me.

That's Saturn's influence on Libra, lol. People tend to gloss over it sometimes.

Thanks for pointing that out I've got a Leo Moon in the 10th house and when it comes to performing arts or career related stuff, I'm definitely not passive or a procrastinator, and I'll be as assertive as necessary to get the job done.

True statement! Denzel is the perfect example. At times, I can appear very stern & intimidating. Other times, I'm the most sunny, friendly face you could ever wish to see. I'm never cruel though. IP: Logged |

Mars in Cancer retrograde opposite Neptune, Mercury, Uranus, yadayadaI struggle with procrastination. Mars in Cancer is action with feeling so it really never takes action without being emotionally provoked. I never want to clean my room until my mom ****** me off because she keeps bugging me. But I've learned with Cancer Mars, if you don't do what you need to do right then and there you'll never want to do it. And just as what everyone said, release your anger/feelings right then and there because that's when you feel it the most. ------------------ http://virgingoat.tumblr.com http://instagram.com/imustbeacat IP: Logged |
