Persons A pluto conjuncts persons B sun, is the pluto obsessed with the sun or sun with pluto? Is there even an obsession or more protective feelings? I should mention that both people have a prominent pluto in their charts.IP: Logged |

Pluto conjunct venus or mars, traditionally, venus.Pluto conj sun, not so much but you tend to feel you want to control them If both have prominent pluto then the pluto person gets the upper hand . If they hv mutual understdg then it's protective, else it's more of a struggle IP: Logged |

I keep reading about this "having the upper hand," but I'm not sure what it really means in the context of who's more "obsessed." I realize we're talking about conjunctions, but my ex-girlfriend and I had Pluto (me) trine Venus (her), yet she was the one who doggedly pursued me to the point of obsession. I have to wonder if just because the planet Pluto is associated with obsession (among other things) if the Pluto person is really the one obsessing, or if the other person might be since their planet is getting aspected now by Pluto and experiencing what obsession is like.

Pluto causes the other person to become obsessed, usually.

What caused you to eventually become obsessed with him, then? IP: Logged |

Pluto is the obsessed one as they're the mastermind. Venus is the reactor so it seems they're more obsessed. Maybe you triggered something in her that she wanted resolved.

Trust your intuition on this. You can usually know if someone's obsessed with you or not. quote: Originally posted by Diplopoda: Pluto conjunct venus or mars, traditionally, venus.Pluto conj sun, not so much but you tend to feel you want to control them
Agree with this. Sun/Pluto doesn't equal obsession most of the time, there's gotta be something else to create that (other Pluto aspects, 8th house stuff). It can create some interest for sure, but IME it doesn't necessarily lead to anything without supportive aspects. And it's more of a masculine energy, that can lead to ego clashes and the desire to control each other. By itself it doesn't indicate that there are love feelings - both Sun and Pluto are forceful planets and aren't very receptive to each other. quote: Originally posted by Diplopoda: Maybe you triggered something in her that she wanted resolved.
^ Very good observation. In a Venus/Pluto scenario, the Pluto person acts like a catalyst to the Venus person and makes them aware of something concerning their self-worth, or their attitude to relationships and love (or other things ruled by Venus like social interactions, art, compromise, and so on). That's why it's usually the Venus person who becomes "dependent" on the Pluto person in some way, and may act clingy or obsessed. Their Venus is waiting to be transformed and the Pluto is the key. Sometimes it's the other way around and the Pluto person becomes enthralled with Venus maybe because they feel that Venus can give them something they need (love, romance, affection, recognition, admiration). In that case, the Pluto person doesn't usually show it openly, they're more covert in their tactics and may act a bit cold or independent but should Venus threaten to leave or actually leave, they can become very intense and cling onto the Venus person, maybe even manipulate them in some way to make them stay, or act dramatic. It can of course also go both ways, when both Venus and Pluto are very into each other and that's when things become interesting because the dynamic is very powerful and transforming for both people. Usually it gets ugly pretty fast, but some people find a way to work things out and have a deep love and attachment for each other even after they've been "transformed". Anyway! Let's just say that both planets can be activated, but what they seek is different. Venus is basically looking for a change in herself through the Pluto, whereas Pluto is looking for something concrete from Venus like love or support of some kind. Which can lead to unrequited love and sometimes it's the Pluto person who is left broken-hearted. Sorry for the off topic, by the way. IP: Logged |

I have Venus/Pluto DW with my soulmate (trine and quincux) and I agree and can attest to everything mentioned above, including the obsessions with each other. We also have a lot of other Pluto aspects but we do not have sun/Pluto. IP: Logged |

Except I wasn't obsessed with her. She did the pursuing, not me. Also, sorry for the off-topic as well. IP: Logged |

He pursued me amd i couldnt stand him. One day i saw he felt hurt and i felt bad because of the look he had on his face. I told myself "stop being a ***** ". Talk to him as a friend." So i started asking him questions and being nice. Then he sat next to me and i felt an electric spark.
Maybe i did like him but was in denial? I had a hatred of men at the time because of my daughters dumb father.
This was a year ago and now we are inseperable.
We do fight alot lol But i ended up getting obsessed with him. Now i wanna lock him up in the closet and keep him as my prisoner.
Sick huh? Lol He is obsessive but more reserved about it. Hes older than me.

I once had a boyfriend whose Venus was on my Pluto. He was definitely the one physically pursuing me, it did feel like obsession, at some point. However, I have to say that deep down I was obsessed too, I just didn't express it outwards like he did. I'd never show jealousy or even try to contact him at all after we were done, etc. He was always the one taking action. So what you guys say about the Venus person being the reactor was certainly true in my case! What if it's someone's Pluto on another's North Node? Has anyone ever experienced this? IP: Logged |

My sun is in the early degrees of Scorpio, conjunct my Pluto, which is in the final degrees of Libra.I've thought about finding a girl who's a year younger than me, with her Sun in the final degrees of Libra, conjunct her Pluto, in the early degrees of Scorpio. So we'd have the Sun-Pluto conjunction both ways. A cute little mutual admiration/obsession society. Hah. Two Plutonian people trying to control each other. Sounds like a great foundation for a warm, nurturing relationship. :P
