How attracted were you to that person or was that person more attracted to you?

Neither.

One of them was my mom and I inherited some money from her. 8th house is shared resources and Venus also rules finance, so that makes perfect sense.

The other is one of my brothers-in-law. I'd say that I feel warm and appreciative of him, but not in any way sexual. He and my sister used to put me up when I was working in that area and needed a place to stay overnight once or twice per week. That also makes a lot of sense with the idea of sharing resources.

i would say the house person is more attracted. Because the planet person is activating your house and yes i think the Venus person benefits some way monetarily from the house person.

I'd have to disagree based on my own experiences. I've been the house person and I was the one who benefited; the Venus person seems to be the one who does the giving and the house person is the one who gains the resources or advantage.

I was intimate with someone where my venus/mars conjunction sat smack on his 8th house cusp. Considering its Virgo, I enjoy and am driven by health and purity in a sense... Avoiding drugs and such. He has a 12th house stellium and he told me once that I inspire him to stop smoking (weed) and finding more clarity/peace. I'm not sure if this synastry aspect directly causes attraction.. Attraction might be a by-product so to speak. I agree with the person who said the planet person activates the house person. Which could cause attraction or repulsion, benefits or disadvantages. It's scorpio's house so don't rule out sex.

Oh forgot- we were/are both very attracted to each other. I think he feels more sexually attracted than I do, and that is *quite* a bit because I am very physically drawn to him. never sure though cos he's a liar most days.

My Venus was in my ex's 8th house, conjunct his Pluto.
There was attraction at first but it wasn't stable (we had a prominent Uranus in synastry) and pretty much sexual in nature, not very romantic.
Well, it was in the beginning, but it eventually faded, especially for me, so I broke up. He didn't want to let go and wanted us to get back together but there was nothing left on my end, all gone.

So the house person felt it more, in this case.

When someone puts personal planets in my 8th house, especially Sun or Mars, they tend to ignite my interest but it's not really romantic. It's psychological and/or sexual. It's like they appear quite mysterious and attractive, but I don't necessarily want to be 'united' with them, because partnership/relating is a 7th house thing and not 8th.

I can't think of anyone who puts their Venus in my 8th, but I'm pretty sure it'd be quite compelling.

exactly what happened to me. I still remember meeting someone with venus-moon-pluto conjunct in my 8H, and I was then going through a rough time - the death of my bf and two other friends, and have been into a suicidal phase ( I have 12H planets too). It was horrible! This person got me through everything just by being there. He definitly had an effect on me, stoping me from falling back again. He helped me gain back my confidence, inspiration and self-motivation.
And yes at some point, I was obsessed with him.
