What do you guys think is responsible for physical chemistry in synastry? Like the kind where two people look absolutely perfect together, even at first glance?Planets that fall in the 10th house, where it's visible to the public? AC/MC conjunctions? IP: Logged |

So are you asking about physical chemistry between two people, or how they appear as a couple? If it's the latter, I'd say Libra, Sagittarius, Leo, or Pisces on the composite ASC is good for a couple that looks good together OR appears fun/welcoming. I had composite ASC in Libra with an ex and whenever we'd go places together, we'd always get people talking to us, looking and smiling at us, complimenting us. We'd hold hands and just grin all the damn time, and people would ask us how long we'd been together, LOL! It was the funniest thing. IP: Logged |

Lol, good for you then! Yes, what I meant was the latter. The kind where people think that you're the perfect couple, or that you look good together, stuff like that. I was thinking about the chemistry that people see. Oh and btw, this does not necessarily apply for couples only. Like for example, you and a guy friend of yours have this certain chemistry and people think you're together when there is nothing really going on. Which synastry placements give that kind of impression to other people? IP: Logged |

^^ F*ck yeah! I LOVE Naomi! *sigh* My #1 girl crush. She is the GOAT, to hell with the other wenches! Kate Moss still looks great, too; she gets honorable mention.Back on topic: I'd think that anything regarding how two people appear to others whether they're an official couple, two BFFs, a pair of siblings, etc. has to do with the composite chart. Synastry is their experience of each other, while the composite (their combined chart uniting them) is how they're perceived, judged, admired and otherwise together. IP: Logged |

I can imagine you as Naomi, Kero SagRising, yeah that makes sense. The composite does depict that. How about Venus on the 10th house composite or a love stellium, that would do the trick, right? I wonder how it works for actors who have great on-screen chemistry? I'll try to post charts later when I get to a PC. IP: Logged |

Looking good together, huh. I think you might really have a point there, regarding the composite Asc sign indicating how a couple appears together. Also, maybe nice aspects to the composite Asc would work well to. Like Venus conjunct, or in soft aspect to the Asc in the composite. In terms of synastry, I've noticed that Venus/Mars conjunctions and soft aspects make it appear as if a couple has amazing chemistry, even if they are not really in-love. I've noticed this with actors in movies and shows. The co-workers aren't dating (maybe they don't touch each others 5th,7th, and 8th houses very strongly), but a Venus/Mars aspect makes them seem like they have a natural physical connection. Also, it makes sense that mutually good Asc synastry would also indicate two people 'looking good' together. IP: Logged |

I agree about the Ascendant/1H and Midheaven/10H in composite being responsible for this. However I'm gonna have to be a wet blanket and warn you against idolizing these placements too much. They can be very deceiving and undermining. For example, if you are a private person composite Moon in the 10H will be very unpleasant to you since everyone will know what goes on between you two and how you feel despite your efforts of trying to conceal it. Thank you everyone for your replies! I guess the composite does make sense in how people perceive both people as a pair. I haven't really thought about venus-mars, since I was thinking it was more of an internal aspect IP: Logged |
