Like, my current situation is getting out of an emotionally challenging three year relationship. I KNOW I have to move on if I want to be happy, plus we're not compatible enough anymore. But I still find myself wanting to go back to him just because finding someone new seems so difficult and I feel like part of my life is missing.

Is this normal break up stuff? It seems like it could be. BUT! Could it be connected to houses or something? I know I'm stubborn and I'm also kind of wanting to stay with him just because I can be so determined to get someone to like me...

Yes what you just described is the "normal" break-up aftermath. Especially with a long-term relationship, it'll take a fair bit of time to adjust to the gap that person left behind.

And Saturn aspects in synastry are said to be "binding" so yah.
