example The Lord of the Rings fandom often agrees Boromir is a Scorpio. Astrology enthusiasts within the LOTR fandom has stated the reason for Boromir's arrogance and tendency to look down on others and want to be the leader is because of his Scorpio traits.

No denying traditional Astrology descriptions does state Scorpio as being very arrogant and vain but I would attribute Boromir's personality and his high "Superior to thou" attitude more to his background than being a Scorpio or Astrology at all. From childhood Denethor has intended Boromir to become the best of Gondor and to become the next steward. He gave everything he could to develop Boromir as a leader and outstanding in about everything ideal for a Gondorian Warrior.

His father was so convinced Boromir was next to lead in line Boromir was practically praised all his life. And while he actually does have the right to be proud of his status because he really did become an outstanding warrior worthy of representing Gondor. He slew 20 ORCS before Pippin and Merry were kidnapped and rather than choosing to desert the Fellowship after he betrayed Frodo he chose to stay and fight and defend Pippin and Merry. He died a from injuries that would kill a stronger man in an instant as he survived I'd guess around 10 minutes or more. MANY ARROWS into his flesh killed him but before his death he still had the willpower to request Aragorn a promise that he will save Gondor!

But what I mean to say is that Boromir has been treated like he's someone extraordinary destined for great things and this got into his eager. He already proven himself in battle before but he was often fighting as among the elite ranks and a champion. Nowhere in LOTR does it state he ever had to bear days of being stuck inside trenches alongside the common soldier. He was already given position of leaderships when he started going to war rather than rising through the ranks.

So all his arrogant and vain personality I would say is far more due to his background than Scorpio placements (or any other placements assuming he has Leo and Scorpio in his chart). Had Boromir risen through the ranks and experienced the same difficulties the common soldier did-or had he even put sent into a desperate battle forcing him to rely on those lower in rank and inferior to him such as being trapped inside trenches or being saved by commoners who risked death, Boromir would have developed into the wise battle-hardened soldier who realizes that he can easily die and he will need the help of others. Had he gone through such experiences he wouldn't have been the vain arrogant warrior he was who longed for glory to lead the Fellowship and save Middle Earth.

Sure Scorpios are associated as arrogant and vain but wouldn't someone raised from nobility who was naturally of outstanding talent and always excelled get into his head sheer arrogance that he doesn't need others help? I mean Boromir makes me think of the classic incompetent snobbish aristocratic officer of the British army (except he's actually proven as a warrior) who thinks high of himself because of his position and the fact he never experienced the same hardships grunts did firsthand.

Looking at Natal Chart of Boromir by Astrology Enthusiasts really makes me feel the Astrology community point out to much to the chart literally for every action or personality trait. Like the forum I got banned from with people pointing at my Leo Moon and Mercury Aries, I notice the Astrology Community can often be fanatical about using the chart to judge a person.

Thats fine with me as the Natal Chart is often scarily accurate but for Christ's sake please look at CONTEXT under which the action was taken as well as the person's background and the situation where he did the action! I mean there are so many circumstances in which a person will act totally like a different sign (or different placement for the planet related to the specific circumstances like communication)!

Additional Details

I suspect many an Aquaris and Pisces who were raised under Boromir's background would become just as vain and narcissistic as he was. In fact Faramir is a Cancer himself according to stuff I found but his personality is more Pisces. While I have no doubt he probably has a strong Piscean influence, I really believe his background had a lot more to do with him being so humble and sweet than any Pisces influence can. He was never praised as a prodigy destined for great things and his father was rather aloof to him as opposed to Boromir.

So I view pointing out the way a person acts to his chart right away in the same thing. Bollocks if one doesn't count the circumstances in which such actions occur.

i see boromir more as an aries than scoprio, honor and glory and all. aragorn was always waaay more of the strong, silent, and moody type....i mean re-watch the scene where frodo meets "strider", that has scorpio written all over it.
