What Signs/placements would give you a passion for combat + Martial arts?
I have a taste for the disciplined art -
Scorpio Ascendant, Conj Pluto in Scorpio + Jupiter in Scorpio, Sun + Mercury Conj in Sagittarius in first house of aries - Mars in Leo 9th squared to ascendant

Anyone else feel this or just like watching movies? It's a great art when treated with respect imo

Cam Gigandet is my inspiration for this
Leo Sun, Cancer Moon, Scorpio Ascendant
Mars In Scorpio + Jupiter Scorpio Conj ascendant from first
Pluto in Libra Conj Asc from 12th

I will have this body eventually ^

Hmm this is really interesting. I don't have much aspect ing my mars that would seem to give me interest in martial arts, though love it, and I did karate for 8 years and kung fu for 2, and now yoga for the past 2.5 years. I am extremely drawn to Asian culture.

I have mars conjunct venus (2 degrees) in Virgo (health, body??)
And that conjunction is inconjunct saturn in aqua.

I feel like saturn would be another planet to consider, since it is one of lessons from authority, control, structure, discipline. I have moon trine saturn, and any time I have had a teacher, it has usually been easy for me respect that person as one who hands down knowledge. I feel privileged to learn from him/her and enjoy perfecting my practice to please the teacher (ahem-mars in Virgo)

Thoughts on saturn? Maybe a saturn mars aspect? Or even saturn/jupiter, or saturn/venus, showing how someone disciplines self, what one enjoys learning, etc...

I wasn't particularly interested until I determined to not be a victim anymore, though I do enjoy the physical activity of it as I do other athletic abilities, and I did come to admire blades which is very unusual for my gender...though in addition to functional ones I'd also want purely decorative ones, and I prefer even the functional ones have some style to them (maybe that's my Leo ascendant asserting itself or that could be my heavily aspected 3H Libra Venus, but my 5H Sag Uranus can bend or put an unexpected twist on gender qualities, too). My Sag is probably also the reason why I like the philosophy, too, and how various martial arts shape the personality as much as the personality drawing people to various styles of martial arts. As a writer some of my combat and martial arts scenes (often with philosophy) have really captivated some readers, including those not normally interested in that, and some fellow fanfic writers even used to come to me to help them with their own scenes involving physical combat.

However, it's rare that I like martial arts or fight movies. They don't normally turn me off but I need something more, either comedy (I liked some Jackie Chan comedies plus Big Trouble in Little China) or drama (I'm a big fan of Buffy and Angel). Though one guy who knew me and my then partner were heavily into martial arts (my partner had mastered 3 Korean arts as well as dabbling in others and also had trophies and medals) he got me Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, a series I knew virtually NOTHING about but said since I was into martial arts I'd like it. In retrospect it's too bad no one was there to record my face as I watched it as my expression was probably hilarious (like, "WTF, it's raining ninjas!"), and then some scenes were so epic bad that it instantly became a demented favorite of mine that could get me laughing that someone actually WROTE THIS UP, and when my then partner got home I laughed so much more at HER gobsmacked, dumbfounded expression as I made her watch under the same rationalization of her being into martial arts (more than me) would make her love it!

But I suppose it shouldn't be surprising, while I like many athletic activities I almost never like watching them (at least not for their own sake), and I'm not interested in formal competitions or tournaments. Nevertheless, I did enjoy mastering such athletic hobbies with martial arts just being one of them which also had the self-defense aspect (which my 6H Lilith concerned with the dangers of the world especially appreciates).

And having heard enough guys in real life make absurd statements (everything from their kung fu fist of death to not even being defeated after rammed into by a pickup, and I've heard of even more outlandish claims like of one guy who claimed to be among the US soldiers that killed Manuel Noriega not realizing he was still alive and in prison ) that is even far more worse on the internet (so that there's now the "ITG" or "Internet Tough Guy," and btw, see their magazine ) that I feel self-conscious about talking about what I've trained in and achieved out of fear that I'd sound like them (even when it's just a statement and not bragging). Nevertheless, I pursue it and encourage others to do so as well.

Maybe later I'll post a chapter of a Wing Chun class (mostly philosophy, however) that was really popular from a fanfic of mine years ago. Or a chapter from yet another fanfic filled with combat that even someone who says she despises fight scenes read every word as she was so drawn in (and it also has a chapter on "ninja philosophy" too).

This East Asian reminds everyone that the whole concept of martial arts is to avoid the need to fight. All the Chinese movies are ridiculous and play off the stereotypes that entertain people. I'm ethnic Chinese myself and I do my best to avoid Jackie Chan movies. I can't stand Mortal Kombat video games.

My post got deleted, but I don't have an affinity for belt color. Like Karate Kid said: "Belt? JC Penny. $5."

I don't particularly enjoy violence and all its derivatives, but if called upon, I wouldn't think twice of putting two bullets between anyone's eyes. I'm well trained at that.
