I have a huge stellium of personal planets and asteroids and am sure if there were other planets still to be discovered they'll be in my 7th house! Does it mean I have lots of 'open enemies'? Why do they say 'open'?The 11th house is the house of friends, I don't have any planet there except neptune that trines my 7th house stellium and sq mars. I don't have friends period. If I did or do form some sort of relationship that could be identified as friendship it would soon fade away due to distance or some circumstance.SO I don't have people that were once friends that are out looking to level the scores with me without me knowing about it. Why is the 7th house considered as the house of open enemies? I would say any house could be indicative of enemies. The natural 1st house is aries that signifies the self and the natural 7th house is libra representing ''the others'' or how we deal with others. This polarity of aries-libra is highlighted in my chart since I have SN in aries and NN in Libra. I still don't get why is the 7th house considered as the house of open enemies. It should be the MC or it could be the IC. Why the 7th house? IP: Logged |

Basically the first house is you. 7th house is opposing you. So that is why in traditional astrology which is basically almost horary astrology, 7th house assigns anyone that has significance to you.IP: Logged |

H7 is your opposite, your equal in another person - whether it's like your spouse or your enemy. Think of the houses like the zodiac in that it's a process: H6 is your subordinates, pets being included (as they did serve practical purposes way back when), and H7 is your equal. Does it then follow that H8 is your superiors? IP: Logged |

^yessss, but isn't the 7th house also about how we deal with others? How we forge relationships? how we relate to other people? Your family/relatives could be your own enemy and sure enough they won't be too open about it! IP: Logged |

7th house is how you precieve others. Basically, if you have Aries rising. That defines your immediate you. The opposite Libra is how you would react to other. So, even for an Aries rising, when he gets soft to another person, he wouldn't impose things the way he sees it to another person because he suddenly finds that another person might not see the same view as he does which is the characteristics of LibraIP: Logged |

Lol! Unopen enemies is supposed to be H12 I think. That's what I heard Mr. Darkness say before and I suppose it makes sense. H12 is behind H1 just as a knife is to you when you're stabbed in the back! But uhm, I think how you deal with others is just one of many under the domain of H7. How you deal with others could also fall under Mercury, Mars, and Moon depending what angle from which you go at it...I'm just going to leave it at the DC and H7 represent your equal, in love and in war, so take that as you will. I suppose I'm not wizard-y enough in astrology to provide enough answers lmao! What's it like in vedic, regarding H7? Is it similar or...? IP: Logged |

OH EM GEE!! This would explain why I have ZERO (!!!) patience for people! My progressed asc/dsc are a few months away from changing to Libra/Aries! I've been suffering through decades of having Virgo/Pisces and bloody Neptunian, opium-like haze and daze and I've been vague, aloof and way too kind! No more of that nonsense..and I also have Mars and Pluto in 1H...oh yeah baby haha!!IP: Logged |

okay let's see , my 12th house is Sag, Mr Jupiter is in 4th/5th house. No planet in the 12th house. It freaks me out some times when I read stuff about the 7th house being the house of 'open enemies' and what not. DUH! Vedic says 7th house is 'the house of union' or, the 'house of earthly ties' OR everything having to do with legal partnerships. IP: Logged |

So I'm guessing your family is pretty interesting, hmmmm? Well, perhaps where your H7 ruler is could point to where your equals would find you. quote: It freaks me out some times when I read stuff about the 7th house being the house of 'open enemies' and what not. DUH!
Hahaha! Well, with your diversely filled H7, you must have a rather complex relationship with both spouses and enemies...I kinda have a feeling an empty H7 is easier to work with as the more you have defining it, the more you have to deal with. So your equal would be solar but also saturnine and they'd have mercurial AND venusian traits as well? Sounds hard to deal with lmao! Or maybe each planet would represent one person...two spouses and two enemies? Three spouses? Jessica, do you lead an active life? That is, if I remember your H7. Also just musing! IP: Logged |

Your Jupiter is in 5th right? I think you would benefit financially from flings rather than marriage. IP: Logged |

WOWI think things are starting to make better sense now... Basically, those traits or characteristics that repulse/attract you in a person are represented by the 7th house. LOL. True. I can't stand people being rude. It really ticks me off...and I wouldn't like at all to be perceived as a rude person either..lol.. I have zero tolerance for weak people and wouldn't like to be perceived as weak either..wow..lol Thanks Mr Darkness IP: Logged |

Lotus White had a good thread about this too. She mentioned it in her last thread. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/216505-5.html Good article! It gives so much depth to the open enemy aspect. They can be that person you openly disagree with because their views are exactly the opposite of what you stand for (Asc). Something there caught my attention too and I wonder what everyone else thinks of it. It says that you may attract these opponents because they show the traits that you know of growing up - important people in your life, and so you unconsciously seek this out. They can be repressed sides of you, probably because you've seen what this is like yourself... kind of attract and repel, both sides of the balance. IP: Logged |
