I also love this aspect because I catch on to things reallyyyyy fast and I've always been a quick learner. Plus I think it helps me with being really good at thinking outside of the box and giving answers that other people aren't quick to think of. I also have moments of thinking of one thing and then my mind goes off onto different random (usually related) things (for example I'll have one tab open looking up stuff about canada, then another one about the real estate in vancouver, and then another one about the city life in toronto, and then I'm looking up the crime rate, etc.. and it can go on FOR HOURS).

And Sci/Fi movies and books are def the bomb.com in my book lol Does anyone here also notice that they read fast?

Same here as Faith, with Aquarius Mercury and Scorpio Uranus.

Hmmm...let's see about crazy. I work with mentally unstable people, does that count?

I have my own idiosyncratic craziness, I am positive. Probably more or less comparable to the rest of civilization, I'm guessing...

I tend to keep my craziness to myself though, haha. Well...not as much when I was, say, in my twenties. In those days I was a real jewel to be around.
Let's not go there.

Not insomnia, not usually.

A lot of people think I'm paranoid, but I think I'm just normal. And it mainly has to do with political stuff and nightmare scenarios with the US falling apart, not strangers following me on the street or anything.

I can't handle nervous energy, I MUST be firmly grounded. So I rely heavily on my Cap sun (which is in mutual reception with Saturn...which forms a t-square with Uranus and Mercury) to keep me stable and like bolted to the floor. If necessary I will just live in denial...better that than facing the mega turbulence of my brain when confronted with a situation that would produce anxiety.

Once, I almost died in a car accident. My car was whirling around on the freeway hitting multiple cars. I was supernaturally calm through this experience, marvelling to myself, "What an odd day to die!"

I have Mercury (8th House) in Virgo square Uranus (11th House) in Sag.

It's an aspect of intellectual brilliance (many of my colleagues at the University Department have this)

You can see relations faster than anyone else, so your thinking works through creativity and unusual associations.
(Thinking outside the box)

There is also a sense of Zeitgeist - you intuitively feel what's going on right now in the world.

With the square the trouble can be concentration.

The mind is racing and gets bored so easily.
I have trouble with ADD.
Buddhist Meditation is a real cure - putting the Monkey Mind to rest sometime is very necessary.

With Mercury in Virgo I don't have so much trouble with "craziness". I appear very serious and Mercury is at home and well, Uranus gives it a little more creative energy.
What troubles me is troubling myself all the time.
Virgo worries, worries, worries...and OMG there are so many things to worry about if you think of them.
I feel never good or clever enough.

Uranus in the 11th House is at home, too.
I'm researching the reasons for genocides in a combination of Psychoanalysis, Cultural Theory, Studies of Intersubjectivity and Concepts of the Mind. So, yeah. Hello 8th House.

And I loved Science Fiction ever since!!

mercury-moon in gemini square virgo uranus. yes, people perceive me as crazy no matter how hard I hide it. and many people said that my thinking is not linear... i sometimes just do not make transitions between one thought and another. well, in reality in my mind the transition is done, but i fail to communicate. my mind is faster than my capability to produce words. I am left handed, so that does not help!

people find me quick and always in the school and university people came to me for advice and for ideas. normally, i am not afraid of people stealing my ideas and there are many. never felt that i needed to ask others for ideas.. for me the challenge is to pick and stick with one.

thanks saturn-mercury compensate a litte bit, but seriously, people look at me as "what is she saying?". sometimes they think it is because i did not understand and my frustration is "i got it, but you did not get me".. i feel that many of my ideas are discarded initially and then someone else one year later say the same BINGO, and people say, of yes, good idea. sometimes i have the feeling that my role is to bring these ideas to consciousness. some ones awake and then bring in a more digestable way and then the slower ones get it.

the no application to reality? well, i guess if mercury-uranus stick with one idea, the entire world will see the application to reality. but probably these folks do not invest time in sticking to one idea. however, when i stick to one, it shows to have practical value.

i believe that mercury uranus gives speed, uniqueness of thought, not following the crowd. there is some sense of arrogance as well as we KNOW that we can figure things out without needing an AUTHORITY to approve our thinking. that makes for a good revolutionary thinking if we stick with ideas and follow trough. but to make the best of the energy, we need stabilizing forces either in the chart or team with people with strong cappricorn or saturnian influence to balance things out.

there is also an unconscius need to shock others. and i guess is part of the role of the native. to bring things to awareness. since i was a child i was told that i make such chocking comments, but they were so honest. like the seeking for the truth is the ultimate goal. i can identify with that. i do not care if people feel offended. (well venus-sun cares) but when i am searching for answers, i want the naked response not the sugar-coated one.. even sometimes i ask for feedback knowing that i will get many negatives, but i do not care because i am not searching for validation but for the true, whatever that means...
