As an Aqua sun, ascendant, and venus I have always felt that aquarius placements are grossly misunderstood. People with aquarius placements have the reputation of being freaks or weirdos who dress in outlandish clothing and dye their hair all sorts of crazy colors. This reputation is especially prevalent when you read interpretations for aquarius suns and ascendants, both of which I have. IMO that stuff is mostly myth and has no basis in reality. I don't do any of that stuff and I have never ( I really want to stress this) met an aquarius who did any of those things. IMO, Aquarius energy is really subtle and understated, not loud and in your face. Take me for example, At first glance I look, dress, and act like a typical guy but if you get to know me you find out my first impression is. very deceiving. Most people would never guess that I'm interested in: Astrology, paranormal studies, cryptozoology, Aliens/UFOs, religion/spirituality,and psychology. This has been my experience with all the other aquas I have met as well. Aquas appear to be quiet normal but they all are very unique and different and have their own unique ideas and beliefs. You might not ever catch on to it though if you keep looking for the loud and obnoxious guy with piercings and blue hair. That's my take on things, do you agree or disagree?IP: Logged |

I don't dislike Aqua because they are into weird things. I am into the weirdest of the weird I can't stand when they get holier than thou which you DON"T, AG. I like Aqua venus and Mars because these seem genuine. ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Oh lordy I've known Aquarii with red, green, blue, half-shaved, pierced, and rainbow hair. Then again, I've known Aquarii who are conformist, normie, or just plain slobs with bad hygiene. The point of Aquarius is finding yourself and spreading yourself around, and though not all of them do so, they still try to flit about, nonjudgemental of others. Aquarius is one of harder signs to define I find...it's broader than mundane things such as being different from the majority. In fact Aquarius can be quite popular with the majority and may very well love fitting in and being one with a crowd.IP: Logged |

HMMMM...my Aquarius friend has Sagittarius Venus and Moon and she's actually pretty gentle and soft. Not very flashy at all, but she does have a Scorpio AC. Hmmmm...As far as I can see, Aquarius is an easy-going, accepting, playful sign. They're emotionally detached but when they disagree, they don't like to listen unless you're playing it easy on them. Oh so very airy!! IP: Logged |

Thank you for posting this Aqua to me is a sign that I have never been able to understand but I always thought that was because I have nothing in the sign. I do have a lot of love for aqua venus tho. I also don't know any aqua sun or moon personally.
I always read things about being rebellious and unconventional (which you kinda went into with unique ideas and beliefs). Would you consider yourself rebellious in any way? IP: Logged |

That is halfway true. In reality I openly disapprove of a lot of stuff people say and do. however, unlike the average person I can still like or atleast be civil with people I disagree with. If a person says or does something I disagree with I might shake my head and think "what an idiot" but that doesn't mean I stop liking them or that I hate them. Most people are extremely wishy washy and will turn on you if you say or do one thing they don't like.

I seem to have "this" understanding for the people who are different. From very little details such as the way someone walks, talks, stands and communicates I'm able understand what it might* be like to be that person. I got asc, sun, venus, mercury and saturn in aqua IP: Logged |

My bf has an Aqua Moon, Mars and NN in 7H and he is quite subdued in his ways, perhaps somewhat oppressed, thanks to what he says to be "better since no one would understand me anyway". He can become very detached and analytical at times but this might be his mercury and Uranus in 3H. He's also a loner. All in all there's nothing of the Aqua-myths about him! IP: Logged |

I think it's important as well to look at what decan their birthday is in. I feel like there's SUCH an big difference between January and February Aquariuses. I almost always find that January Aquariuses tend to be more discipline and straight-laced - at least in appearance than February Aquarians. It's like the Capricorn blends in a little with the January Aquas and the artsy fartsy Pisces influence blends into the February Aquarians. This is obviously just from my perspective, but for the most part I've found it to be really accurate with all the Aquarians I know (except of course those Feb Aquas with a ton of earth placements that dull their edge into normalcy). I've never thought of stereotyping Aquas with flamboyant or rebellious outward appearances... I find that they mostly tend to just think waaaayyy outside the box, although you might not know that unless you knew them well. Many of my Aqua Sun friends are exceptionally intelligent (some to the degree that I'm sincerely baffled by the things they're able to accomplish/invent), and some Aquas I know are just kind of doing their own thing quietly, without necessarily broadcasting the fact that they're doing their own thing. Some Aquas I know are very outspoken about their beliefs regarding social or environmental concerns, but there's not much in their appearance that is bizarre. I do find them to be fairly set in their ways, although they seem to accept others as they are, whether they agree with them or not (to reiterate what you said, AG). IP: Logged |

I'm not to familiar with aquarius as I haven't had a lot of experience with much of them. My 7th house is ruled by aquarius, I like guys that are aloof and don't come on strongly, play it cool, man. My natal uranus is in my 6th house. In any job I've had I've always been unique, quirky and over the top.IP: Logged |

I'm Pisces (born on the cusp of Aquarius), and I have a very strong Aquarian influence in my chart (Mars, Venus, and Saturn in Aquarius), and I've always been the conventional one in my family. My family has always been rather wonderfully dysfunctional and unconventional, so it kind of makes me wonder if it's my Aquarian-side wanting to stand apart, by being conventional. I do know someone who is Aquarius sun, though. Definitely the loud (LOUD), off-the-wall, type dude. He doesn't have blue hair, though. Yet. :P I think all Aquarians rebel from something they saw as the "norm" in childhood. Even if it's a small, unnoticeable to the outward eye, kind of rebelling. We are very opinionated and very fair. Most of us, any way. IP: Logged |

I think theres a big difference in how people with Aquarius Suns act vs. other Aquarius placements, since the Sun is uncomfortable in the sign Aquarius I think this is why most of these people tend to be timid or shy or blend in more easily. I know 3 people with Aquarius Sun (2 of them have Saturn there as well) and all of them are fairly quiet and laid back, however with other planet in Aquarius, like the Moon, Venus, or Ascendant, I think the more eccentric "weird" side of Aquarius comes out. Most people I know with these planets or points in Aqua are VERY unique and outlandish, all sorts of hair colors and styles, most of them listen to pretty weird music and live odd lifestyles.IP: Logged |

I also don't judge them for being oddballs. I'm into a couple of weird things myself! Haha. Gotta switch things up sometimes! So I do very much enjoy that trait of Aquarius. I don't want Aquarius anywhere *near* my Man's VENUS or MARS though. No thank you!!!

Venus in aqua, i have a wide varied range of interests that a person my age would not really be into. I love astrology (obviously) psychology, philosophy, art, different cultures, strange music, dark/taboo things (more like scorpio) out of the ordinary stories, anything that intellectually stimulates me, strange people. I also dont hem myself into a certain "teenage culture/young adult" culture, i don't like routine and prefer to do things my way. I'm also a very accepting person when it comes to differences and faults in people. IP: Logged |

I appreciate the way you explained all of this. Thanks for keeping us informed. I've known quite a few Aquarians and they are bold moreso in PERSONALITY than they are bold PHYSICALLY. They are original people - whether they are dressed in Business attire or dressed in Goth attire. IP: Logged |

I have an Aquarius sun, Aquarius venus friend not oddball or out there at all. He is a January Aquarius, but very earthy with a Taurus (we think) asc, Virgo moon and Mars in Taurus so I think other placements play a big part in things. ------------------ Sun Pisces Scorpio Rising Taurus Moon Venus in Capricorn Mars In Leo "Can't run from myself-there's nowhere to hide" "That's who I am, 1000% illusion" IP: Logged |

Um, you haven't met my Aquarius brother... Actually I know of many Aquarians who fit that wild-looking stereotype. But there are punks, freaks, and misfits in every sign and conservatives in every sign. It seems more to do with circumstance than anything. Like I have an Aquarius Mercury and at one point dyed my hair black and wore strange clothing (once, one of my bosses asked me, mystified, "Where on earth do you get your style?") I can see myself funking out again if the mood struck, but for the most part I look like a plain old preppy Capricorn. Frankly I don't care about style so much as the fit and quality/feel of the fabric. IP: Logged |
