I have Capricorn intercepted in between 2nd and 3rd house cusp and Cancer intercepted between 8th and 9th house cusp. My sun in cancer is also in 8th house

The interception creates a delayed or obstructed ability to demonstrate the positive qualities of the signs that are intercepted. So it might be harder for you to demonstrate the positive qualities of Cancer and Capricorn, and any planets that are in those signs. If there aren't any planets in those signs, the effects will still be there but they won't be as noticeable unless something is transiting them.

That's what I've read, anyway, if I understand it correctly.

Also, apparently the "cause" of any issues regarding the intercepted planets can be found in the first intercepted house, and the effects can be found in the second.

For me, my interceptions begin in the 2nd and 8th house, so those areas would apparently point to "causes", and my 3rd and 9th houses would indicate where the "effects" of not demonstrating the positives of a sign would manifest.

I'm still trying to work it out in my head, but that's how I understand it.
(Sorry, I forgot which houses you mentioned your interceptions are in, but it seems like you said 8th and 2nd as well?)

I hope that made sense, I'm not sure how accurate my understanding of it is.

You know, I just looked at my chart...
I'm still not completely clear on it.
What I know is that my 2nd house is stuck in Virgo and my 8th house is stuck in Pisces. Virgo begins in my 1st house, and Pisces begins in my 7th. I'm guessing that as far as "cause and effect" are concerned, my "causes" would be found in 1st and 7th, and the effects in 2nd and 8th.

Jeez. Yeah, my Sun and Moon are in Pisces and Virgo, respectively. In opposition, and apparently trapped, so to speak.

What I'm reading is that we have to learn how to utilize the positives of the signs/planets because we weren't given the opportunity to do so earlier in life.
Somehow, our ability to express the positives of the signs/planets/houses have been stifled (allegedly...I can only speak from personal experience and what I'm reading, as well as my limited understanding of it), and we need to figure out how to find a way to allow those positive qualities be expressed.

I've got intercepted signs in my 5th/11th houses Sag/Gemini respectively. The explanation Violets gave resonates pretty well. I think maybe sometimes people expect there to be MORE to something than there necessarily is.

Difficulty expressing the positive traits of intercepted signs early in life makes perfect sense to me. As does the cause/effect explanation..

Example:

my 3rd house has Aquarius on the cusp, and it is possible that people first see that.
But after having uttered 3 sentences the intercepted Pisces becomes very clear.

Yeah, I think that it probably is essentially summed up by the fact that the positive characteristics of a sign don't develop until later in life, when we figure out how to let them shine.
That definitely rings true for me as well. I think that my Sun is doing a bit better (probably a lot better), but I find that the positives of my Moon are a bit more difficult for me to access. My Moon doesn't have the trine to Saturn like my Sun does, so perhaps that has helped my Sun traits (in the long run).
