So the *HARD* aspects are better for deep/intense *CHEMISTRY* is what you two are saying??

I'm fairly new to synastry. I'd love to hear more! So the hard aspects wouldn't cause you to arugue a lot with you mate? Would you have little in common with each other?

What is lacking 'heat' about a Trine?? I'm confused!

Yes..I was talking about sexual attraction and which aspects felt strongest for me. when it comes to sexual attraction, the cookbooks will always say the trines or conjunctions are the best. well that hasn't exactly been the case for me.. like for ex. when it comes to venus/mars, the square or the opposition were the hottest. It was intense "lust at first sight" for both me and the guy. but the trine just lacked that fire..it didnt feel 'epic' to me lol.. i was attracted, but not anywhere as strong as the hard aspect...I really think it depends on your natal chart..im made up of squares and conjunctions. I personally find certain squares (or harsh aspects) in synastry, really Grasp my attention...I'd assume someone with mostly trines and sextile natally, may find hard aspects in synastry to be "too much"..

And as for the arguing...I mean, all couples are bound to get into arguments. but nothing serious in my case.. With hard aspects, you need some positive aspects to balance things out. Like moon/Jupiter or Moon/Venus. Venus/Jupiter.

And since i know you're looking for Intense sexual/emotional bond, In my experience, their moon touching my Venus/Pluto, was exactly that . Especially when it was a Scorpio moon guy, because then it would conjunct my Venus/Pluto in my 8th! And wowzaaaa was that amazing

I have a few Opposition & Square placements in my chart. But I do have a HELLUVA lot of Trines & Sextiles. I do want intensity & passion - but I do not want constant drama & conflict in relationships!!

Ultimately, I think you're right that it's about having many other *great* aspects in synastry that make up for the *negative* ones.
