Well humans can't be perfect, I think there's 2 percent of the population that would be considered perfect by most people.
Even then looks are so subjective to culture etc.

If you can embrace your own flaws you shouldn't have trouble do the same for others.

In general I think we can all be critical if we're in a bad mood but the best thing to do is take a look in the mirror and remind yourself your not perfect either and know that it's okay.

Then again venus/jupiter makes me optimistic.

As for your taste in lovers, that's your prerogative.
Obviously the more critical you are less likely you'll ever find someone
You are young and as you mature you'll find it easier to look at things in a logical perspective.

Does it make you self-critical as well?

Definitely. And i can't stand when people say 'oh it's just puberty you want everything to be perfect' because it's really just not like that.

Don't worry. It gets better.
You're still a teenager I guess and I remember being that discriminating too but nowadays there are more things I love about people which includes their so-called "flaws".

Do you feel as you get more mature you are looking for something more than looks and outer personality? Like uniqueness?

yeah, it'll improve as you age. there will still be things you want 'perfect' about yourself or a friend/partner, but you'll ease up. as a teenager I was obsessed with having the towels in my bathroom perfectly folded at all times and would almost cry if they were messed up. I wanted my bathroom space to be perfect. stuff like that becomes much less important as you age, so certain things will go away - don't worry! :-)

There were gazillion posts about Virgo Venus since I joined this forum. Seems, like this topic is even more popular, than "Scorpio Man made me lick my feet and I enjoyed it".

m.blade, don't worry, things will get better! I have Venus in Virgo as well, and I eased down with age.

My advices for you are:

1. your need for perfection in others will eventually evolve into you criticising yourself. Make sure you are not too hard on yourself. Love yourself for who you are!

2.Find a balance. Before you criticize other people, before you voice your opinion, look at yourself. Are you as good, as you expect other people to be?

Good luck with everything!
