I really have no idea what the Vedic deal is. My sun/moon/asc in the Vedic Astrology calculator is the same as in my 9th harmonic although some of the other planets are different. Is this just a coincidence or the same for you guys?

Hahaha that might be a coincidence if it's just your regular Vedic chart. The Navamsa chart however is calculated like a Ninth Harmonic chart, just that it uses your Vedic placements.

i used the same calculator on other people - it's different. d'oh. i just didn't know if there was any mathematical reasoning or whatever why it's the same in both.

Hey, I was confused when my Navamsa chart wasn't the same as my Ninth Harmonic chart, just planets moved ahead - when I realised...the Navamsa chart is generated from the Vedic chart, it isn't just a sidereal Ninth Harmonic...

How do you think Vedic applies?
Like 9th harmonic is supposed to be your soul's chart.

but I don't know much about western harmonics, western astrologers do not pay enough attention to them but in Vedic astrology divisional charts are given importance for certain areas of your life.
I'm going to study my harmonics for a bit..

The Navamsa Chart is the 9th harmonic. You just have to change to Hindu/Lahiri under zodiac options on astro.com for it to match.

From what I looked into, the Navamsa Chart shows a couple of major things.

- who or what you really are at a soul level(kind of outside of your karma), also what you are going to become eventually.

-it is also said to reveal or show qualities of your spouse/partner.

^^ hmm really that is interesting.

if you take a look at the videos above he states to look up your atmakarka and amatyakakra from you natal and see if those are strong or weak in your navamsa.(according to where they are placed, aspects etc...) This gives hints towards your soul growth.

because it looks like you can also get a 9th harmonic when you're in sidereal.

i was looking at the first sidereal option, not the hindu one

the 9th i am talking about is in tropical
my 9th in sidereal, it is different than my tropical and vedic signs.

yea, the first option is a bit off for what ever reason. The hindu/lahiri is a proper match of your vedic chart, so the 9th harmonic with that option also matches your navamsa.

unrelated: my boyfriend's tropical ninth (not posted) would put his sun in leo, moon in leo, and ascendant in pisces. i lost my virginity/first real boyfriend was that combo. i told him that maybe i was looking for him... (he liked it)
