yes, I agree. With the nodals square there seems heavy karma involved.
It doesn`t always have to mean that you did something to each other, but there is something to work out, maybe due to individual experiences. I know of one (gay) couple who had the nodal square. They had a long term relationship, with some ups and downs; after 10 years or so they broke up, yet they seem to still be a part of each other`s lives, though one of them is married now and him and his partner have adopted a child.
They also had the Neptune square Nodes in their synastry, which I have often found prominent in relationships that do not last forever or become really committed. Sometimes thyj ust dissolve, sometimes it is more dramatic. But it seems there is always something very different about these Neptune-Node-square relationships.
Anyway I donīt think that necessarily means a squared nodal relationship does not have a chance to survive. As a matter of fact the karmic glue is very strong, but after that, when the "debts are paid and lessons learned", it takes some effort to maintain the relationship. And true love that is based more on personal aspects than on Saturn, Pluto or even the Nodes.
But anyway, so yes of course that would show in the Draconics because it is a nodal chart and relating to the same reference point, so squaring nodes would impact all planets in Dracos.
BTW there is this thing in the composite as well, when the nodal axis is on around 00 Capricorn or 00 Cancer.
As these are naturally square 00 Aries, the Draconic placements of this composite would be squaring the same placements in tropical zodiac.
It also means that a square in the tropical composite would coincide with a conjunction/ opposition from DRaconic to tropical zodiac.
BTW
in your case I would think it is a more future oriented relationship, with all these conjunctions to NN.
