What does your Mars and Saturn do? In general Venus is a very passive planet, so I don't think it would alone contribute active personality traits like "domineering"...IP: Logged |

Not that I've noticed. I knew one really well, Libra sun/Scorpio Venus and he is more about trying to aggravate people with a subtle anti social streak but still requires people which you would expect from a Libra sun. He came to my house once apologizing profusely and I had no idea why. He gushed, went on and on, and bought me stuff. The entire time I had no idea he had even done anything to bother me. He insisted. I don't know what got into him.IP: Logged |

i can attest to that. i have venus scorpio conjunct pluto all in 8th house. its not even like i try to be dominating, its just the fact im scared to get close i subconsciously do the whole push pull thing and it leaves the person im with come after me. ill never let myself be controlled by someone else cause thats just not in me lol. its either equal or you chase me. but really its cause deep down i have a fear of being totally vulnerable and becoming hurt. if i keep a distance and be the "dominant" one if the person leaves i dont feel so hurt...IP: Logged |

So far I’ve not met a dominating Venus in Scorpio but most of them have Mars in Cancer which can be submissive. Mars in hard aspect with Sun, Moon and Uranus should be enough to make you dominating.IP: Logged |

I think having a venus/pluto conjunction makes sense for your domineering trait. Also, there might be a lustful desire to control or manipulate using love and emotions to have 'your way' with others. I have a dear friend with a venus pluto conjunction and she's very level headed... She can naturally dominate in a relationship, but it's very passive and natural, not intentional. She's a Scorpio sun with sag rising, Scorpio stellium. Lovely gal. So wise. ------------------ Cancer sun Leo rising Libra moon 17 July 1991 7:27am EST IP: Logged |

Yes... it's like the moment I enter in a relationship I begin to take it much more serious...as long as I'm just dating and having fun I'm much more relaxed and don't care about what the guy is doing and all that, but when I'm having a serious relationship I just get really dominating and nagging and I hate that! I guess it's also comming from the fear of being hurt, because I feel a commitment is a very serious thing... when you have a boyfriend everyone knows and everyone would know if he broke up or did something wrong, but if it is just someone I'm seeing once in a while it's not a big deal... I am a Scorpio female with my Mercury/Venus/Jupiter/Pluto in Scorpio with my Venus conjunct Mercury, Mars conjunct Pluto, Pluto opposite Ascendant, so not only do I have a lot of Scorpio planets, but I have tons of Scorpionic energy in my chart as well which inhanses my Scorpio placements. Anyway, yes I always feel very dominating in relationships and the two guys that I've had a thing for out of the guys I've dated, both have mars in Cancer. I always feel like I play the more masculine role and my guy takes on the more feminine role in a sense. I'm very direct when it comes to sexual matters and relationship issues and the guys I usually go for a very indirect and passive so I feel like I have to force my way into their heads just to communicate. It's frustrating but then again, it's one of those reasons I'm so drawn to them in the first place. I guess I have a love/hate thing for my Venus in Scorpio.IP: Logged |
