Some astrologers use the planets as a projection for the type of person they represent and try to give information about your relationship with them based on how the particular planet is placed in your chart.
For example:

The Moon – represents the mother. Some people use it to analyze a person’s relationship to his/her mother. The same goes for the planets below.
Saturn – The father
Venus – women in general (as far as I’ve read)

However I have a question. Which celestial body represents men – the Sun or Mars? And do you think that these types of predictions and analysis are credible? If a person was to have a badly placed Sun or Mars does that forecast a bad opinion of men for them?

In my own personal opinion I would say that Mars represents men. It seems the most appropriate choice. Mars as the counterpart for Venus and also it completes the cardinal cross:

Mars/1 House/Aries
Moon/4 House/Cancer
Venus/7 House/Libra
Saturn/10 House/Capricorn.
