I can't help myself...these are the boots I bought a couple of years ago that I *love* but never have occasion to wear anymore because I have a toddler, haha. And they're plain black, and I had to buy some brown boots (with buttons) for this year. I can't recall if I bought another pair last year, I think I just grabbed a pair from the closet that I had forgotten about, lol.

That's a really good idea! I tried wearing them with jeans, and they looked odd, but yeah maybe with a softer shirt, like you said. I used to just wear dark stuff, but styles have changed and so have I (especially over the past two years, heh). Now I'm just sticking with my brown Born boots that are "practical" but still stylish, lol. My little boy has reduced me to buying "practical shoes", hahahaha.
