The reason it seems not so stable of a theory for me is the fact that my Dad had an exact trine Sun-Moon in his chart. But at the moment of his birth his father had already passed away so technically his mother was a single parent. No relationship between his parents at the moment of his birth - at all. Why?

i agree my mom might be the moon in my chart but i don't think my dad is the sun... i could see saturn, though.

I have a very good relationship with my mother and always had. She is very dominating though (aries sun) but a very good mother, very understanding and always listened to my (pisces venus and ascendant)
I've never had a great relationship with my father though. I had when I was a child but he always talked so much and never listened to me at all (gemini sun and mars) and he never seemed to care so much for my emotions...the most horrible listener in the world, and very weird.
He have grown old now, but our relationship have improved through the years, but he still forget to listen... I mean, he don't know where I live, how old I am or what I study, it is that extreme.
But still he can call me and talk for hours about politics, and it is ok with me cause I got used to it.

I do miss a dad who could have been a "real" dad though. It's like he is just this weird man, not really a parent. I also think he have some mild degree of mental illness, but he is VERY funny and intelligent.

My parents was never married and they broke up when I was 3. They remained friends, but my mother always talked bad about my dad, since she found out how he treated me. (being a bad listener and so on)
Today they have new relationships, my dad found another gemini woman and they seem to have a very good relationship actually (though they ar emore like friends)
and my mother found a cancer man, but I think they argue a lot...
