It doesn't move, it's a mathematical point, and it's located in H5,6 or 7.

Dubbed as secondary Asc.

Didn't pay much attention to it before I experienced Ver/Dsc conj (tight, under 1°).

quote:
The vertex appears as a sensitive point linked to fateful encounters with others, seemingly sudden epiphanies, turning points in life and a destiny over which we have no control. Activated, it can synchronize with an experience of another whose effect registers as some degree of profound or extraordinary.

Thank you Venus
So is it mostly considered important in synastry?
Or also in relation to 'fated events'. Or am I completely barking at the wrong tree here?

It doesn`t move in the sense the planets do, however it changes very quickly, as it is dependent on ASC and IC and the latitude of birht I think. So it is just as timesensitive as the major angles.

It is called the "electric axis" I think, and has to do with encounters that leave a lasting impression.
A turning point.

For me it is difficult to experience the Vertex as independently, as in my chart it is on the exact same degree as asteroid EROS and my far Sun/Moon-mp

Yes, I have read quite a few articles on importance of Vertex, and it has a plenty of devotees here on LL.

(I should be more specific in saying that Vertex can progress, just like Asc, since its calculation is dependant on it) - whether is applicable in interpretations, I don't know.

Fated? Maybe. What I experienced was a bit of a whirlwind.

I love hearing juicy stories, preferably with a happy end.

Whirlwind -that seems a great term.

I have found it prominent in progressions as well. I just remember that I met this guy who is STLL haunting my mind, and it definitely was a major turning point in my life, when I was having

pr Antivertex: 17 Aquarius
pr Venus: 18 Aquarius
pr Mercury: 18 Aquraius

n Moon: 17 Aquarius

Since my pr Mercury is currently stationing and will turn retrograde, I will experince the conjunction to Antivertex again (Interestingly Mercury is my DESC-ruler)

Oh wow, thanks for the study material Ceri I will read up on it
Aha, so it's dependent on the ASC which makes sense. So it could still fall into a very different sign then others which were born on the same day.
I'll read into it. Thanks again!
