I had another theory while sitting here day dreaming at work.

I think true soul mates are found in CONJUNCTIONS and OPPOSITIONS...

but i dont mean like sun-venus

I mean sun-sun, moon-moon, mercury-mercury etc...

Sun-Sun and Moon-Moon conjunctions/oppositions (being the most reflective of ego and soul) are the most potent in my opinion.

Hmm it could be, although maybe they can also share some conjunctions and oppositions between Sun/Moon and ACs, and then maybe one's Mars conjunct other's Venus or so.

Not only Sun/Sun, Moon/Moon etc, and such but you will find mirroring between their respective yin/yang planets and asteroid pairs too.

agree to disagree i suppose. i subscribe to the 'birds of a feather' theory as eventually opposites attract will just wear you down. conjunctions will encounter hardships too. oppositions do have an impact on connections though, no denying that - we get fascinated by what we lack

I see what you're saying here.

The opposition may be nice for learning life lessons and learning other perspectives, while the conjunction may denote a more serious connection.

I'd call the Opposition - the learning aspect

The Conjunction - the intense and serious aspect

The antiscia/ contrascia are reflective or mirrorpoints cast over the solstice axis of 0° Capricorn- Cancer.
Mirrordegrees (for example 26 Sagittarius and 4 Capricorn) have the same amount of daylight.

The Sun is rising (in the declinations) up to the solstice, then it turns and moves downwards again. And the mirrorpoints reflect that relationship, just in one case Sun (or the planet) is still moving up, while the latter marks the return of the Sun and passing that same point.

Contrascia/ Antiscia are of course closely related to the solar path, but then that is our frame of reference in astrology anyway. We project ALL planets onto the ecliptic, the Sun`s path.

Also, the antiscia/ contrascia give an interesting image of completion, taken together.
