Topic: Venus in Aquarius - feeling bored of relationships

Anyone else have the venus in aquarius problems? I'm not afraid of intimacy but it seems people who are attracted to me I am not interested in. It seems people want me to change, change to their rules, philosophies and want to put a name to what a relationship "should" be. This is very annoying as i hate manipulation unless i love them alot, as all i want is to be myself and have freedom. Another problem i have is feeling detatched in relationships, maybe abit too much. I do want passion, the intense feeling of love, but people who are attracted to me there is no spark and i have no feeling for, i don't want a passionless relationship. Aquarius are blamed for being emotionless and detatched but i crave intense intimacy, but with freedom to be myself also. I think most Venus in Aquarius's need a soulmate, do you think this is true? Somebody to go with the flow with and not hem the relationship into something. But still feeling deep love. I think all my neptune aspects emphasize this soul mate romantic connection. Urgh, someone get me a Scorpio with uranus/aqua placements. IP: Logged |

Are you me!?!? I seriously could have written this entire post! I have Venus in Aqua square Mars in Taurus so you can already guess how my love life is going  What are your other aspects if you don't mind me asking? This may be more than a Venus in Aqua thing.

I have mars in cancer, i guess that explains my craving for intimacy with someone who understands me 100% someone who lets me breathe, be myself, and go on adventures in life. Routines in relationships feel more like a burden than a relationship, i think routines are just open to manipulation from both people.

Personally, I have been fortunate to have the men I am attracted to interested in me as well so that makes it easy for me to commit. What aspects does your Venus make? Where is your moon?IP: Logged |

Moon in the 11th trine neptune, neptune in the third house. So i guess someone needs to inspire my imagination, and possibly idealistic. Venus trine jupiter (Jupiter in 12th), Venus conjunct Saturn, Mercury sextile venus, Moon bi-quintile venus. And i agree, if im attracted to them and they become attracted to me it is easy for me to commit, i'm Libra asc so balance is important to me. It's just the one's i am not attracted to, it becomes a petty annoyance because they think i will eventually (through their obvious manipulation) succumb to tradition. IP: Logged |

Then why do you get involved with people you're not into in the first place? Are you afraid to be single or what? That would be a little weird considering your supposed love for freedom. I have Venus in Aqua too and I'm ready to be forever alone and die a virgin if I don't meet man that will sweep me off my feet and vice versa. I'm not interested in being in a relationship just for the sake of it. ------------------

Wow, that describes me perfectly. I have Venus in Aquarius, too. I want want that passionate relationship, to meet "the one", etc. Yet, with all of my past relationships, there's been that...detachment. That feeling like I know definitely they aren't the one. It's kind of discouraging because there's no guarantee anyone will ever meet their "one." I guess the thing for you to do would be to look at your seventh and ninth houses, and see who you'll attract, etc. I'm afraid to look at mine too closely--I don't having anything there  IP: Logged |

You're actually kind of lucky. Some of us have Libra rising and Venus conj. Mars. We're terrified of ending up alone if Prince Charming never shows up

while i don't have venus in aqua (it's in capricorn), i'm a scorp w/ moon-uranus in aqua, and i really do relate to this.
not quite sure about you all, but i'm often perceived as aloof in relationships, but it's only that i'm waiting for something to sweep me off my feet, not in romance but in intensityIP: Logged |

My BFF is like this (and it's a 9H Aqua Venus!). To top it off it seems her Pisces placements makes her especially attracted to men who need saving and they were almost always especially clingy & draining. As she got older she'd try to compromise herself more and more so the men wouldn't leave her but in the end they'd cram her too far in a box and she'd explode out. And I agree with her about how controlling and clingy they tend to be. I almost tore into a boyfriend of hers for texting her while he KNEW she was driving, and the text wasn't anything sweet or practical it was a mind boggling stupid question of why she was leaving recycling, and then demanding an answer even as she drove through fast traffic because the man-baby had tantrums if she didn't risk death to answer his idiotic, pointless questions (pointless other than to assert his domination over her and using her phone as a remote leash). She knew I was going to lecture him about how he was putting her life at risk for a question that could wait but she wouldn't let me. She said she felt the same but was trying to make it work, hoping he'd become less insecure and clingy with time. He didn't, and now he's gone like so many other men. She told me she wishes she could at least lean bi, she and I could be soul mates (we tried it briefly once but it was too awkward, even for me, and despite sharing many placements). She's about decided she's better off without a man now, however...it's been many months so far, if she refuses to date any men (she does get plenty of offers) for a couple of years I'll think she really means it. She's returning to exploring spirituality again instead. IP: Logged |
