I read that this combination isn't good for relationships. I'll have this in my next Solar Return. I'd like to know from you guys, is that really bad?

Either I annoy you, boss you around and make you explode, or you annoy me, boss me around and eventually I'll explode. Personally, I thrive in positive, constructive, minimized relationships. I must admit that I tend to have an energizing effect on the other person until the martian qualities of the aspect begins to manifest.

I have sun, merc, venus in 8th house, and scorpio ascendant. However, public relationships are overly energetic, verbally combative, and competitive. This cyclic energy begins as mutually unconscious and ends up being mutually conscious. The plutonian side of me CRAVES intimacy and symbiotic relationships. Unfortunately, the martian energy of the mars 7th is way too draining for me.

My husband has Mars in the 7th house, and while he can be annoying rather than soft and lovey, he is not that competitive or dramatic. He does seem to attract people that are somehow dramatic, but it feels more like his Moon/Uranus square rather than Mars at 7th.
On the other hand, I'm Aries with 4 planets on Aries. :P

I have this. along with sun and merc conjunct in there. I prefer dominant aggressive partners. I do attract these types a lot..(And a lot are aries men hahah), And explains why I'm aggressive too.

My mom has her mars opposite her asc and mine is conjunct the asc. And boy does she bring out the mars in me! if i ever get into a fight ill think about one of our arguments to get me mad and ready lol

Mine is in the 7th. I'm not dramatic but I am passionate. I'm not interested in 'conquest'. The word makes me shudder as much as all these threads about people chasing people who are chasing other people who are chasing them etc.

I relate a lot to Daria lolll My cynicism kicks in when I hear about these things.

I don't attract dramatic people... I've attracted a couple of psychological basket cases. My Mars is conj Neptune.. But generally the guys I attract are pretty practical and down to earth - My 7th is in Capricorn.

The only person I know of who had Mars in 7th for solar return was bickering a lot back and forth with their spouse that year. They are both normally very well mannered but would bicker even in public. It's been better since tho.

According to vedic astrology people with mars in the 12th,1st,4th,7th, and 8th house are all manglik, this could indicate upheavals in partnerships and married life unless your partner is also a manglik.
Mars is an active malefic planet and does not do well in domestic houses.

Just contributing what I know about this placement.

I actually like mangliks especially mars in the 7th and 8th..
My s.o has Cancer Mars Pluto decan, scorpio duad on 8th house cusp. so it's 2 for one, 7th and 8th house!!
it's always fun and a tad bit chaotic which I like...
I don't think I could ever be happy with someone too stable..
I crave adventure.
Laying on the couch together eating hot Cheetos is not going to do it for me...

Hmm I have mars very close to the 12th house cusp so I may have manglik qualities too.
