Topic: Is anybody fed up with their libra rising?

I have libra rising and Venus sextile the ascendant. When ever people meet me they alway say oh she's so sweet and so cute because I smile all the time and am just so kind. But I believe it prevents me from achieving my full potential because people see me as being wishy washy and someone that is not assertive enough and can be stepped on easily. Just today I had my first job interview for a position as a cashier, the manager said that I was "probably the sweetest person she has ever interviewed." And because of this I feel like I am not going to get the Job because I don't come out as assertive as I would like. Can anyone relate to any of your libra placements and if it ever held you back in life? I wish I had a more assertive rising sign like Aries or Capricorn. My sun is in Sagittarius and my moon is in Aquarius if anyone wants to know.IP: Logged |

I sorta understand. Cashier is not the best choice for Libra rising. You could do MUCH better. Ever think about being a hostess at a restaurant? The key is to find the job you are best suited for instead of wishing you were someone different. I have Venus sextile my Libra ascendant, too. It's a blessing! You have a lot of charm, grace, and love to share with the world. Is Venus in tenth house or fourth? Which house is it in? From tenth you should be able to find a career that Venus supports, like hair stylist, clothing retailer. What about clothing stores? You could be a cashier in this type of environment. IP: Logged |

^^THIS. One of my first jobs was as a Hostess and I loved it! I've been a Cashier before, also. But Hosting just really "fit" my personality. Us Libra-Rising folks are indeed very gracious & charming, so this works!
@Anastasiya I do think that we can come off as "sweet" to some people because of our jolly side. But there is also *ANOTHER* side to Libra that can be quite serious - I would know. And that side is intimidating to some people! So gurl...just learn how to show the right FACES to the right people. You'll be fine!

For that job - I don't think being sweet would be a bad thing as it's customer service. Now if you were interviewing as a manager maybe that would hurt you. But I know a lot of libra sun and/or libra rising managers. It's just a different type of managing but still gets the job done IP: Logged |

My brother is a libra rising and I feel he is somewhat of a people pleaser. And a bit passive agressive. He tries not to offend anybody and wants everybody to be happy. Is this a libra rising thing? He has his sun, moon, venus and mercury in his seventh house so that probably amplifies it lol.IP: Logged |

I'm sick of being a Libra rising because people put me off balance easily, doesn't help with neptunian sensitivity so sometimes i'm off balance over the slightest thing, nothing is ever perfect for me, always have to look nice, self concious ect, hate rejection, introverted.IP: Logged |

I have the same problem, getting knocked off balance too easily, sensitivity. I have a difficult time being assertive, it causes me anxiety. I like to be quiet and observe, am thought of as sweet and easy to push around. It just goes with the territory but there's good things about Libra too, not all bad. Libra will sit back and think about things, try to be nice to people. This is a good ascendant for any PR work. I would suggest something like this. Hostess, PR work. Something that allows Libra to put Libran talents to good use. Work with the public or in customer care.
Another area kinda overlooked - weddings! Libra rules marriage and weddings so any of us would probably do alright as wedding planners, marriage counselors, wedding cake creators!

i have no problem with speaking up my mind or assert myself with my libra rising since i can be extremely outspoken.the only thing is, i dont see the use in doing that randomly. would you see a lawyer speak about his case towards journalists but a few words? no, he does so when hes in court, in front of the jury and judge. i prefer effective communication. According to my new*** chart lol my my venus conjuncts my libra rising/ascendant? What exactly does that mean I'm not quite sure I've read a few things here and there and nothing has cleared the fog. Lol I'm sweetheart and smiley at work. It does and can be annoying because I feel sometimes people don't take me very seriously because I'm just too sweet or nice I dunno. Would people really prefer a mean, nasty person over a sweet and caring person? I'm extremely people pleasing and very passive aggressive unfortunately, always have and probably always will be. I'm also not afraid to stand up to people and say things back when pushed over the edge. So yes if it's the correct rising for me I am kinda over it and there are other times where I love and appreciate it. I have my sun,moon,mercury and rising in libra and scorpio venus. IP: Logged |

I have Libra Rising and Venus trine the ASC. I like it a lot. I think it is an ASC which is a gift to the person, not a liability because it allows one to be able to deal with people and groups and many people cannot. I can be too people pleasing and this is not good. I agree with that.

Sometimes I wish for a Libra Asc... but then again it's so common Asc, I'd still prefer my unique Aqua Asc.

Your probably have a cancer MC why not work as a dog/babysitter or maybe as a waitress, showing people hospitality etc.
