What would cause this? I have neptune in the third square ascendant. But it's probably true, i'm a very neptunian/uranian/plutonian individual so of course i'm not that grounded, add air + water placements i thrive on mental stimulation more than practical stuff and being a sag makes me want to go on mental "adventures" I find it annoying when people say this, they say it like it is a bad thing, like why would i want to live in the real world 24/7, everyone needs an escape from time to time. I'm going through a neptune opposite mercury transit so i guess i'm away with the fairies even more so, but it's damn interesting to live in your own world.

I get accused of that plenty of times. A strong Poseidonas is sure to cause that. Likewise, I have him in 9H, opposite my IC, and a strong Gemini doesn't help. Ouranos does this too, and I think Hermes might. Also, do you have an aspect between Poseidonas and Hermes?

As long as you're satisfied with your life I recommend you not to give a damn about what they say. Aren't you simply introverted? It's true that everyone needs to escape from time to time. It's better to live in the fantasy world for awhile than get into drugs or heavy drinking.

In my case it's probably Sun conjunct Neptune, ASC trine Neptune and Moon conjunct Poseidon exact.

Sag, if you'd like people to shut up you should try channeling your imagination into something tangible. I mean, occupy yourself with some artistic hobby for example

I agree with you and completely understand... I can be like that too.
I am mostly very Neptunian in my ways.

Moon/Mars in Cancer near 12th house
Moon quindecile Neptune/Uranus
Mercury trine Neptune/Uranus
Venus square Neptune/Uranus

I have Virgo and Saturn placements though so they do help to keep me grounded at times and see things from a more rational viewpoint.

But you see, those who fail to understand this and see it as a bad thing are simply unaware of the fact that human psychology is very diverse.
They haven't experienced what life is like through other people's perspectives, they can only base their perceptions on their own individual experiences, so anything that is "different" from what they are used to seeing is automatically labelled as being "out-of-the-norm".

I don't necessarily consider escapism or an idealistic attitude as a bad thing (unless it isn't something that causes serious harm such as substance abuse, etc).
If you're like me and highly sensitive/empathic, then its easy to get overwhelmed by reality and its people. Sometimes it can seem very harsh, cold, mundane, lacking in depth and true meaning, and I'm inclined to easily feel hurt/overwhelmed and take things too personally lol. Though I'm getting better at letting things go and not giving a rip anymore.
I find it effects me less and less now.

Anyways, my point is that its ok to retreat and "get lost into your own world". It's ok to unwind and take some time out for yourself. Its actually a very healthy thing to do, for your psyche and overall wellbeing.
It gives you a sense of peace, relief, inspiration, hope and joy. Plus it aspires you to find such aspects within this earthly mundane reality, and as a result, it serves you by enriching your life in the long run.
Those who fail to transcend their limited, 3D ways of thinking/seeing things are seriously missing out... But hey, whatever floats their boat. I guess that's the experience they're here for.

So if people put you down for it, then that's their problem. They need to find a better hobby than nosing into other's lives and nitpicking at them, and focus on fixing their own lives/attitude for once.
People like that can be so annoying >_>.
So pay no mind to them and let them say what they want, know that it has nothing to do with who you are, but rather who THEY are.
Continue staying true to yourself

I do have Sun, Pluto and Mars in my 12th too... That's why I'm day-dreaming that much? O.o
