I think that is apart of being human is to follow trends that are popular.
It's good to be an individual because individuals set trends for others to follow.

I think that's the cycle of society. You have trend setters and followers.
There are a lot of people who follow certain political and spiritual beliefs because they were raised in that environment.

I think before you call someone a sheeple you should ask them why.. If they can't give you a good answer than maybe they are just followers.
You can't blame them, some people are meant to be the worker ants.
Humans are meant to follow grand plan for every time period, if that makes sense.
For example, the age of aquarius which is forward and liberal.
