Do you find yourself invited to more "upscale" parties? The reason I ask is that a friend of mine invited me to a film fest at her home last night with a small group of people. We Facebooked back and forth, and I asked her if she wanted me to bring soft drinks and chips (since I don't like popcorn). She told me she had the food taken care of. I went there and our refreshments included crackers and goat cheese, sliced fruit, wine and imported beer, all on a serving tray, as well as tossed salad and vegetarian chili over macaroni. That may not sound quite "upscale," but but I was surprised that we didn't just have pop, chips, and dip. lol
