Very interesting, I couldn't remember the dates but on a hunch I googled "industrial revolution" and sure enough it really took off between 1820-1840, which of course brought about capitalism which changed... just about everything. Now I'm even more convinced that this conjunction in Cap has to do with transforming the "system". Thanks for pointing this out Leocassandra

They were all retro then direct so it seemed to have started in 88. Anyways. I wonder what the Saturn conjunct Uranus generation means? Mine is tiiiigh

Hmm I'm curious about Saturn conjunct Uranus too, seems like an interesting aspect. I found this article saying you guys basically aren't afraid to own your individuality and aren't phased by major social/political trends. This age group also sort of started the shift towards more openly accepting views on race, gender, etc.

The conjunction advances by about 10 degrees each time, usually with 3 conjunctions in each sign, so the next one will be in the 2100s in the first decan of Aquarius, I think that coupled with Jupiter-Saturn moving from earth to air element conjunctions (starting with 0 Aquarius in 2020) and Plutos upcoming transit through Aquarius (2024) will show the beginning and completion of our entrance into the Age of Aquarius. (ETA: Uranus will also be trining Pluto from Gemini in the 2020s)

A little bit of a side-bar but a lot of scientists and physicists are talking about a technological singularity, which they say will start to become noticeable and speed up around the 2020s and we will move into a brand new era of humanity in the 2040s, which I think also plays into the whole Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto Aquarius gig. And stretching it a little farther still Uranus rules old age around 70, Neptune 80s and 90s, and Pluto 100 and beyond. Most of the Uranus-Neptune Cap generation have these planets sextiling Pluto which to me could be interpreted in this context as an opportunity to use science and consciousness technology to significantly increase the human life-span. I think there's a lot of interesting and fantastic things to come from this generation (perhaps I feel that way because I'm part of it hehe) but only time will tell.

I don't want that to happen to me and I'm not sure of that's why I haven't gone yet or what. I am going eventually just not at all sure when. I don't want to rush myself at all but can't help feeling rushed by everyone else.

Speaking as a current college student:

It's perfectly OK to take a year off. In retrospect, I should have done the same because I was still carrying an unhealthy mindset from high school, and I am always a year younger than my peers (which made me a bit less mentally mature).

Also, many college students change their majors. Don't be afraid to explore a bit and try some classes outside your comfort zone. I thought I'd NEVER be interested in something as "soft" as American Studies or even Anthropology, but it turns out I love it and now it's conflicting with my intended Neuroscience degree...

Oh, and if you want to be a lawyer, all you have to do is fulfill the pre-law requirements. No one says you have to be a pre-law major or political science major or whatever government-related thing you school offers. I know a guy who majored in psychology, got a J.D., and then went back to grad school to study the decision-making processes of judges. People get into law school with drama degrees. As long as you do well on the LSATs, have a good GPA, etc., it doesn't really matter what you major in for law school.

As a fellow Saturn/Uranus/Neptune kiddie, I've always wondered if others are also feeling like they're being bashed against the rocks by waves they cannot control. Again and again, for what seems like years now. Many of my friends are just trying to hold on during this Pluto transit, and for some, mental health issues have surfaced...

Good read! I'm 1990 and my Uranus is 9 degrees and Neptune is 14 both stationary rx in my 8th house.

Good read!

Yeah I am able to afford going to community college for early childhood. I get pell grants. And might apply for a scholarship for my last semester.

A lot of Universities are now wanting community college students to transfer there for their bachelors, so it may be more manageable than I thought.

Yeah our economy is so screwed up right now!

YES. The Pluto/Uranus square wreaked havoc on my natal t-square, while Saturn was having a tea party with my stellium at the top of my chart before preparing for a long stay in my 12 House before my Saturn Return where he will also rendezvous with my Venus. It's been rough!

But I just popped in this thread to say I love the years that have this in tight conjunction. I SO wish I had been born a few years later and received this lovely conjunction as opposed to my dour exact Saturn/Neptune/Asc one. I'm not sure if I read the article through this site or not, but when Uranus and Neptune conjuncted exactly, all the black holes is space began emitting a turquoise aura they never had before, or something like that

Yep, you're not the only one.

Most of my friends seem to be handling it pretty well while I continue to flail in the deep end. I am 1-2 years older than them though and just slightly outside the range of birth years mentioned here (I still have Uranus/Neptune/Saturn conjunction in Cap and Pluto in Scorpio) so maybe it's hitting me harder than them?
