It can show that each other's public/career are tied with the other's inner core/home/family. For example, in a couple it can mean that their career lives can affect their home/family life.

No my ic is conjunct his midheaven and vice versa, so conjunct and opposite cause my ic opposes his ic and midheaven opposes midheaven

Its about planets conjuncting mc/ic or in 4th/10th
Not about mc/ic opposite mc/ic

I guess so, since opposite signs represents opposites that are complimentary.

Personally, me and my husband have opposed MCs but by sign, and I do feel that our careers affect our home. Not necessarily in a bad way thought, unless we lose the balance. We are both from the IT (me Gemini MC and him Sag MC).
I also share this with a friend, but it's a tight conjunction, thought we never got too close for me to be able to conclude anything about this aspect. But we were from the same university course (IT field), and we used to hang out together in groups. We sometimes spent time at his home.
